What is OMF?

In June 1865 Hudson Taylor established the CHINA INLAND MISSION on the principles of Faith and Prayer for the purpose of reaching the people of the inland regions of China with the Gospel of Jesus Christ

CIM becomes OMF

Between 1949 and 1952 after the victory of the Communist armies, there was a “reluctant

exodus” of all of the members of the China Inland Mission.

CIM becomes OMF

As a result the leaders decided to re-deploy all of the missionaries into the rest of East Asia and the headquarters were moved to Singapore.

The name was changed to

Overseas Missionary Fellowship

Through God's grace, we aim to see an indigenous, biblical church movement in each people group of

East Asia, evangelizing their own people and reaching out in mission to other peoples.
