The chamber would like to havemore public are, perhapsonthewallbehindthefamers’market.
The chamber organized a great from GLOVE andSACCOG. Themeeting today at the chamberwilldiscusshowtousethegrantmoneytoorganizethecommercialcorridor. Threeconsultantshavebeeninvited to bring ideas for the future. Greenbackpropertyownershavebeeninvitedtoo.
Another bright spot is that the farmers marketstartedlastThursdayandwillcontinueuntiltheendof September. It is the 11th year of the market. There was record attendance but fewer vendors.Therewereonly foodvendorsand theboothsarespacedout.
Other bright spots are that some local businessesare reopening - Bad Fish, James the Barber, andOrangevaleCopy. It’scoolthatRotarywillsupportanother day at the Fair Oaks - Orangevale FoodBank. There aremore clients that ever using thefood bank and support has grown for the foodbank.
Regarding the Orangevale Library expansion, moving the Last Tangle to the front location hasbeen slow. After the salon is relocated, then thelibrarybuildoutcanbegin.

Oneof thepositiveproject sheworkedonwith theCasaRobleHighSchoolBoosterClub was to print graduation yard signs, one for each of the 249 graduates. Theboosterclubdistributedthesigns. Schoolstaffandfamiliesbeganpostingphotosofthesignstorecognizetheseniors.
That project brought a fundamental change to her business and she receivedmoreworkforsigns,t-shirts,socialdistancingsigns,etc.Theprevious“paper”businesswasdown 80% so the rise in other areas of printingwaswelcomed and shewas able tomakeenoughtopayherbills.
