Michael, Zain

and Jiyaad –

Scene 1

• This scene took place on 30th November 2012, the scene was set inside a bedroom were two of the boys would be sitting and watching a film and Michael would walk in and give them the news about the 9/11 attacks. This scene was filmed at my house, we had set the room out so that it would look like a boys room, also to make it feel like 2001 we used a television that would have been in the trend back then.

Michael &

Beth – Scene

3

• The scene took place at the restaurant called the boathouse inn. We started officially filming at about 11.15am, we started filming by using a establishing shot of Beth and Michael both sitting together we did this to establish that they have both been their already drinking and talking. This shot was taken in one take and I believe that it will not need to be re filmed again. From here we moved into the actual restaurant and filmed the conversation between Michael and Beth on a 180 degree rule basis. We then did the same scene as a close up shot from far. On the whole I believe that the first day of our shooting went well and that it was successful. However if we identify any problem with the scene whilst editing then it wont be a problem as the restaurant has already given us written and verbal conformation to film.

Scene 2 –

Michael &

Jack

• This scene took place after the filming of scene 3 even though this scene comes first in the film. The reason why I had filmed this after was because of location problems as I didn't know where to film this scene, as the scene was between two boys who were in school so filming their argument outside school would have given the film that much of a realistic feel. This is why I decided to film this scene inside our school in one of our teaching classroom as it would have been a lot more realistic and it would have created a lot more meaning for the overall scene. We used different types of angle whilst filming this scene so we had a combination when editing the scene.

Scene 4 –

Michael & his

Dad

• This is a very important scene for our film, as it brings down everything that is happening to Michael as he tears away from his girlfriend, his friends and then his father also turns on him. The importance of this scene is that we see Michael starts to break, as he cant believe that everything that he has is breaking down around him. His family and his friends have all left him in this war.

The climax

• This is our end scene, the scene that puts a conclusion to the war that has been going on between the 3 boys. It was a difficult scene to film the reason for this is because it was shot in a park so to get everything right was quite difficult. The scene portrays the conclusion between the 3 boys it shows what happens to them and how they all end up in a situation that will hurt all of them.
