Our Family Overview A Note from Fr. Bob, Pastor Two weeks following the great Solemnity of Pentecost, and before we launch into twenty “Ordinary” weeks of searching for the risen Lord, the Church pauses to look at and to ponder on the gift of the Eucharist, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, food for hungry souls. This banquet feast comes to us at a great cost, the Passion, Death and Resurrection of the Lord. We have been hungering for this ‘gift of finest wheat,’ in the Eucharist, for the past three months. Premier Ford and Bishop Fabbro, earlier this week, have made announcements that our weary time in the desert is soon over. We will be able to return to our church to celebrate Eucharist, as we fully comply with the building safety directives of the Premier and of the Bishop. As we have received from Bishop Fabbro only today (Friday, June 12), the final list of re-entry directives, it will take some time for our staff and volunteers to become acquainted with the sanitizing procedures necessary while we are in the building and those to be undertaken after each group leaves the building. Be assured that we are doing everything necessary to be able to invite ‘home’ our worshipping community, as soon as possible. You can soon expect from us clear communications concerning the date of re-entry, along with the procedures to be respected when we welcome you home. In our first reading for this weekend’s liturgy, from the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses is speaking to God’s chosen people as they are about to complete their forty years in the desert, arriving in the land promised them by God. He is exhorting the people not to forget what precious things that he had taught them and provided for them during those challenging days/months/years. He asks them not to forget the Lord when they come into the land of plenty, for he “fed you in the wilderness with manna that your ancestors did not know, to humble you and to test you, and in the end to do you good (Deut. 8.16).” As we leave the desert of social isolation, and once again join loved ones in family and in worship, may we be mindful of how the Lord has deepened our faith and our love these past three months. What was the Lord teaching us? What did we learn? Stay tuned to hear of our re-entry plan. We expect to communicate the plan to you this coming week. At that time we will be clear about the exact date of re-entry. Thank you for your generous support and prayers. We all look forward to being together soon. Devotedly yours in the Lord, Fr. Bob Surrender Retreat - On Pentecost we asked you to let us know if you have become a disciple within the last 12 months because of a transformative encounter that you had with Jesus. On Wednesday, June 17 th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. we are inviting you to take the next step on your discipleship journey. We will be getting away from the world for a little bit, sharing our faith stories with one another, and coming to a place of surrender to Jesus Christ. “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water (Mt 14:28).” If this sounds like the right next step for you, register at www.holyfamilylondon.ca Keeping your Family Growing in Faith and Growing in Christ resources are now available from home. Our Family Overview

A Note from Fr. Bob, Pastor

Two weeks following the great Solemnity of Pentecost, and before we launch into twenty “Ordinary” weeks of searching for the risen Lord, the Church pauses to look at and to ponder on the gift of the Eucharist, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, food for hungry souls. This banquet feast comes to us at a great cost, the Passion,

2020 Graduation Mass - Hard to believe that we are coming to an end of another school year – a very different school

year this has been for students. Grade 8’s at our family of schools have been anticipating celebrations as they move from

Elementary School to High School, however with Covid-19 restrictions those celebrations have all changed. We will be

celebrating with our grade 8’s and schools virtually with our Sunday Mass on Sunday June 21st at 10:00 a.m. Please

join us for our live-streamed online mass for our graduates as we continue to keep them and all the students and staff in

our prayers. Our Family of schools include:

 Notre Dame Catholic Elementary School

St. John’s French Immersion Catholic Elementary School

St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic Elementary School

 St. Paul Catholic Elementary School

St. Thomas More Catholic Elementary School

Join us after both live streamed on-line Masses for our Weekend Hangout! They take

place immediately following Mass and are an opportunity for Fr. Bob, Fr. Glen, and our

parish leadership to connect with those who are watching our live stream. Whether you

are a parishioner or just happen to stumble upon us on YouTube these Hangouts are a

place for you to ask questions, share your thoughts about faith and spirituality, and to

meet new people. This is new for us too, so please give us feedback about what you like

to see during these Hangouts in the future. Also, check us out on YouTube by searching Holy Family Parish London!

HOLY FAMILY DIVINE RENOVATION PRAYER ~ Heavenly Father, we praise and thank you for

bringing us together as a faith community to serve one another in love. You have sent us with a mission to

evangelize and share your message of love and peace to all. Send your Holy Spirit to guide us in your efforts

toward the radical divine renovation of our parish. We entrust our faith community to the care of the Holy

Family and ask for the intercession of our Blessed Mother and St. Joseph as we work together to bear witness

to the gospel values and build a divinely renewed parish. We ask this in the name of Jesus your Son, who lives

and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
