Our Company Profile
HistoryWe began in 1974 initially as an importer and supplier of
Italian Ceramic tiles. A few years later, we expanded our business to include the supply and installation of Italian marble to cater for our growing industry’s demand.
In order to add value to our services, we decided to set up our local factory in 1983. This factory is used to process the imported semi-finished products into various finishing products such as kitchen tops, vanity tops and anything else which requires the cutting and profiling of raw size slabs into the finished cut sizes.
With the experience of setting up the Singapore factory, Polybuilding (s) Pte Ltd proceeded to expand its business beyond our shores by setting up the following overseas subsidiaries and associates offices with localized operations:
In 1984, we set up our first overseas subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to supply and install tiles, marble and granite for major projects in Malaysia.
In 1988, we set up our second overseas operation, which is an associate office specializing in the supply of raw blocks of granite and marble, mainly for the Taiwanese and Chinese market.
In 1995, the third overseas operation, which is a subsidiary of Polybuilding (s) Pte Ltd was set up. In order to be a major supplier of stone products in the building industry, our company Shanghai Houshi Stone Products Co Ltd has big capital investments on plant and machinery to cater for our projects.
The full production facilities include machineries for block processing, polishing into various finishes, cutting and doing various profiles. This will enable us to achieve economies of scale and also the ability to offer better prices to our customers.

ProductionOur operations and support services are housed at our
factory located at No. 8 Tuas Avenue 11, Jurong.
With a factory built-in area and covered dry-lay area of approximately of 6,500 sqm and 600 sqm respectively, we are able to provide a one-stop total service to all our valued customers.
Located within this factory, there is our slab yard and warehouse. It is here where we stock a vast range of our natural stone products in various ready cut sizes, block-cutter strips and gang-saw size slabs.
Our factory is equipped with various high tech machineries such as Bridge Cutters, Surface Treatment machines, Edge Polishing facility, Calibration-polishing machine, Edge Profiling-Polishing machine, Double-sided length profile cutter, Drilling machine, Profiling section, etc. This machinery and support has been acquired to achieve the quality and quantity output necessary to meet your project’s requirements.
Upon your requests, we can also provide additional services such as the preparation of shop drawings which is supported by our own in-house Studio department.
