This Friday is International Women’s Day, a time to reflect and celebrate women and our achievements. I feel extremely grateful to work with so many women, both young and a bit older, who inspire and motivate me every day. Thanks ladies!!
This week we celebrated Pancake Day by making some seriously yummy, fluffy pancakes and we were joined by some friends from the ILC.
Looking forward to another action packed week.

Why It Matters
In this life skills class we do mindfulness and listen to the Smiling Minds app. This is important to us because mindfulness gets us ready for the class and help us to
focus, while during Smiling Minds we focus on our breathing and learn skills which can help us when we are
sad, stressed or upset.
We all enjoy this class because it is a safe zone and we all feel confident in what we say; we don’t have to be afraid of people laughing at us. It has also built up
everyone’s confidence and is giving us the chance to be prepared for life outside school through helping deliver
meals on wheels and participate in work experience.
This class is important to us all. We feel valued, safe and are learning skills which we can take back to other classes, the playground and beyond. We have all become
more confident and feel better about ourselves.
