We know the food gifts will make a huge difference to the families in need in our local area. Thank you for helping to raise a fantastic £553.74 for the NSPCC through your sponsored spelling at home. We really appreciate the support you have given your children with this and it again demonstrates how caring our school family is towards others. SAFEGUARDING Safeguarding is high priority at St John and St Francis Church School. We take every

opportunity to ensure that our pupil’s safety is paramount. We want our pupils to be healthy

and happy and to develop well both physically and mentally. The school follows the latest

Government Guidance to ensure we are fulfilling our duties in this important area. The

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and contact at School is myself (Mrs Lisa Farley), and

our Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mr Alexis Piper, Mrs Claire Craven, Miss Emma Counter,

Mrs Karen Kendrick and Mrs Emily Wells. Our Safeguarding Governor is Mr David Durston.

Packed Lunches If you send in a packed lunch for your child please do not include large chocolate bars and bags of sweets. Tempest Photo Orders – Please ensure these are returned to the School Office no later than Thursday 2nd November. Orders after this date will need to be placed directly with Tempest and will be subject to postage charges.

Hair A polite reminder that hair longer than shoulder length should be tied up, and we ask that no large hair accessories eg bows, flowers, etc. are worn. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

2nd Maths Session. Parents are invited into Class for a maths session led by Class teachers. Please note as this is a working session we ask that younger siblings do not attend. Reception classes and Key Stage 1 (Wren, Robin, Sparrow, Blackbird, Chaffinch and Goldfinch) – 9.00am - 10.00am Key Stage 2 (Jay, Woodpecker, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Heron, Kingfisher, Kestrel and Eagle) – 10.00am - 11.00am.
