THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

The respiratory system allow us to breathe in(inhalation) and breathe out (exhalation).

The main parts:

How the respiratory system works: when we breathe in, air enters in our lungs.

1.- Air is cleaned

and warmed in our nose.

2.- Air goes down the

windpipe or trachea.

3.- Air goes down the bronquial

tubes and enters our lungs.

4.- In our lungs, oxygen passes from

the air into our blood through the alveoli

THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEM The circulatory system

carries oxygen and nutrients from the

digestion to different parts of our body.

Blood circulates around our body inside blood vessels.

Arteries carry the blood from the heart to the rest of our body.

Veins carry the blood from our body to the heart.

Capillaries connect veins and arteries.
