Pinnacle is a group started by a team of young scholars to impart quality coaching to engineering
students in Kalyan. It laid its foundation in the year 2009 with a handful of students and today it imparts
teaching to more then 3000 students annually producing excellent results. The basic objective of

ADMISSION THROUGH CAP
I. Major Steps for the CAP Rounds
STEP 1 Register on the DTE website.
STEP 2 Confirmation of online application form & Document Verification at facilitation center only by the candidate in Person.
STEP 3 Display of final Merit List on website
STEP 4 Filling and online confirmation of online Option Form for Allotment of CAP Round I , II and III (Same Option Form)
STEP 5 Display of Allotment of CAP-I for candidate through candidate’s login.
STEP 6 Float, Slide or Freeze the choice for subsequent rounds after accepting the seat allotted in the first round.
STEP 7 Reporting to ARC as per allotment of CAP Round I with a DD of Rs 5000/-
STEP 8 Same option form and process followed for CAP II and CAP III
STEP 9 New Option form has to be filled by students in Round IV
STEP 10 Reporting and Confirmation of the admission in the respective institute after the final Round.
Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Rounds
1. To Apply For the centralized Round I, II, and III for Admission in any Engineering College
in Maharashtra you have to fill ONLY ONE (SINGLE) OPTION form ONLINE (which will
be available at www. Dtemaharashtra.gov.in/fe2016 )
2. Once he /she is sure of option filled , the candidate must CONFIRM the Option form
(online) before the Schedule date.Once the option form is CONFIRMED , then the
student WILL NOT be able to make any changes in the option form i.e now the option
are LOCKED . Only the students who fill in their preference will be considered in Round
I, II, III.
3. The SAME option form will be considered for the Rounds I, II, and III (i. e) After Round I,
the candidate will not be able to change the option for Round II or for Round III ) .
Hence Filling the Option in the right order is very important. In the section provided , a
student can write a maximum of 300 choices .
If the SEAT IS ALLOTED :

Out of the choices mentioned (in the form) by the student one SEAT is available to the
student . The Choice(i.e Institute –Courses Combination) which is ALLOTED to the
student will be printed in the allocation list besides his/ her name . Such a Student is
required to:
a. Download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter”
b. Go to any of the ARC.
c. Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (DD of Rs. 5000/-in favour of “Directorate of
Technical Education , Maharashtra “)
d. “Accept “ the offered seat.
Now , though an “ALLOTTED” offer is made to the made to the student ,
while “Accepting” the allotted seat , a candidate can opt to either ‘FLOAT’,
‘SLIDE’ or FREEZE his choices for the subsequent rounds.
Float :
If the candidate is not completely satisfied with the Allotted Institute – Course Combination , the candidate can opt to FLOAT . With This, in the subsequent rounds , he will be considered for only the option which are higher than the one currently allotted to him (i.e. betterment). If in the Subsequent rounds he is unable to get a higher option , the one currently allotted to him will be continue. Slide:
If the Candidate is not completely satisfied with Allotted Course but satisfied with Allotted Institute , the candidate can opt to slide with this , in the subsequent Rounds, he will be considered for only the option which are higher than the one allotted to him but within the SAME INSTITUTE . (This option can be exercised provided the student has mentioned other courses within the same institute as higher options). If in the subsequent rounds he is unable to get a higher option , the one currently allotted to him will be continue.
Freeze:
If the Candidate is completely satisfied with the Allotted Institute –Course combination the candidate can opt to FREEZE . With this he will not be considered for subsequent Rounds II and III .( However, such student will have the option to participate in Round 4).
If the seat is NOT ALLOTTED :
Out of the choices mentioned (in the form) by the student , none is available to the student as per his merit . Such Student will Automatically be considered for subsequent Rounds. The SAME option will be considered for subsequent rounds (i.e, the candidate WILL NOT be able change the option for Round II Round III)

Centralized Admission Process (CAP) : Round IV
Following Student will be eligible for CAP Round IV : 1. Candidate who has NOT been allotted any Seat in any of the Previous Rounds (I, II, III) 2. Candidate who have taken admission in any of the earlier Rounds But have now
cancelled their admission 3. Candidates who were allotted a seat in any of the earlier rounds but did not report for
acceptance (i.e. those who have REJECTED the Allotment) 4. Candidates who had “FREEZE” their Allotment in earlier Round but are now desirous of
FLOATING (or SLIDING in Round IV (Such Student should change their option from FREEZE to FLOAT (or SLIDE) before the start of this Round IV.
5. Candidates who had opted ‘ SLIDE’ 0r FLOAT after Round III (For Seeking Betterment in Round IV)
Reporting and Confirmation of Admission after the final CAP Round: After the final CAP Round , the candidates should report to the institution finally allotted to him and confirm his admission in Institution by paying the balance fees.

INSTITUTE LEVEL QUOTA SEATS
1. Every Private College (minority and non-minority) has 20% of the seats reserved for
the Institute level Quota.
2. These seats are filled by the colleges itself by conducting the rounds in the college
separately
3. The students can apply by filling the college form separately. For this the student has to
keep the track of the schedule of all the colleges separately.
4. Student securing Admission through this rounds are eligible to appear in CAP Rounds as
well.
