Lessons Learned Through the Pilot● Utilize the ACP Self-Assessment Rubric to analyze your District
and Buildings.
● Form a representative Committee, including resistant teachers from both academic and encore departments.
● Include outside resources on your committee: teacher, parent, higher ed.
● Introduce the concept of ACP slowly and gradually to your teachers. Utilize DPI’s resources including ACP 101.
● Create an implementation timeline.
● Celebrate your strengths and identify your gaps.
● Identify and update community partners on an ongoing basis.
“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”
