    1.0 Introduction

In 1876, the success of Alexander Graham Bell invented the phone has enabled people

around the world communicate with each other even further apart. By experiencing a sudden

change and grow rapidly in the field of telecommunication technology, people can

communicate with other people without cable support through mobile phones.

Now, mobile phones are everyday necessities to be brought anywhere you can be

reached. With this, many companies have been set up to offer online services in Malaysia.

Among them are Maxis, DiGi, Celcom and TM (formerly known as TELEKOM). In

addition, mobile phone brands available in the market are Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, Sony

    Ericson, LG, and more.

The telecommunications industry is experiencing growth firm on a global scale. By 2005, the

industry predicts there will be 1.6 billion mobile phone subscribers worldwide. Since

Introduction of mobile phones in the middle 1980s, there was a significant increase in the

number of mobile phone users and installation base stations. In 2004, statistics from the

Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), indicating that the rate

of penetration mobile phone is 55.9 persons per 100 population or 14.4 million subscribers.

Mobile phones, sometimes known as the mobile cellular or mobile phones, is an important

tool in modern telecommunications and are fast becoming a social lifestyle. In some parts of

the world, it is the most reliable phone or sole phones that are available. In places other hand,

mobile phones are very popular because they enable and facilitate regular communication

continued without restricting freedom of movement users. How does the mobile phone

system work? Every mobile phone operating communicates with a fixed installation known

as a base station or structure telecommunications. Since the mobile phone and base station is

a two-way radio, it produces radiofrequency (RF) as a way on and exposes the people who

The widespread use of mobile phones has definitely raised the question of whether there

any implications for human health. Already there are several reports related to possible

adverse effects on health and this has led to some concern among the public.

The adoption of the mobile phone by young people has been a global phenomenon in recent

years. It is now an integral part of adolescents daily lives and is for the majority, the most

popular form of electronic communication. In fact, the mobile phone has turned from a

technological tool to a social tool. This paper explores the impact of the mobile phone on

youth peer relationships, on family relationships and on the institution of the school. Young

people use the mobile phone in positive ways to organise and maintain their social networks.

However, there are also negative impacts on young peoples peer relationships. These can

include ostracism and cyber bullying. Similarly, the mobile phone has led to changed

dynamics in the family, with issues of safety and surveillance from a parental perspective

leading to negotiated changing freedoms for young people. While functional coordination can

be beneficial for the family, other problems can arise such as financial difficulties, non-

custodial parent access, as well as over reliance on the mobile phone for safety issues and

intrusion into young people lives. The impact of the mobile phone on the school as an

institution has not however, received as much research. Disruptions to lessons, incidences of

cheating and bullying are some of the negative impacts, while texting parents of truants

seems to be the only positive for the school. Further research is needed into the consequences

of mobile phone use in schools.

Because mobile phone use is so widespread (it was estimated in 2011 that there were around

five billion mobile phone users), public concerns about the possible health effects of mobile

phones receive a lot of coverage in the media. Because so many people use mobile phones,

medical researchers are concerned that any associated health risks, even small ones, could

cause significant public health problems. It is important to understand the risks and possible

effects of mobile phone use, and make up your own mind about how you use your mobile

    phone.

Mobile phones communicate with base stations using radiofrequency (RF) radiation. If RF

radiation is high enough, it has a thermal effect, which means it raises body temperature.

There are concerns that the low levels of RF radiation emitted by mobile phones could cause

health problems such as headaches or brain tumours.

    2.0 Problems

    2.1 Spread Rumors

Mobile phones have been used as a tool to spread rumors. This happens when the real false

rumors spread through text posts. They are easy to believe without first investigating easily

spread to others without investigating the validity of the newspapers. It thus has an adverse

    impact member to the parties.

Use of mobile phones can lead to the spread of slander or rumors. Man does not shy away

from speaking up regardless of whether such items are considered true or not true. News

about the rumors that spread can sometimes bring down a person and this is not a good thing

but should be avoided. The use of SMS has certainly become the main method of spreading

false rumors or slander against someone. This means do when someone sends SMS posts

about false rumors about an individual to another individual. To believe in the open without

checking will spread to others as a story without definitive evidence. This will negatively

affect the individual involved or the specific parties.

    2.2 Dissemination of pornographic elements

Dissemination of pornographic elements such as pictures and videos very easily with the

mobile phone. Ability of mobile phones to load down photo / video and also the Bluetooth

function to facilitate the spread of this pornographic elements. It has a bad impact on the

youth in particular for those who want to know the attitude of the things that are new to them.

This is one of the causes will increase the rate of cases of immorality in schools.

Handset has been misused as a tool of dissemination of pornographic material. Dissemination

of pornographic videos or pictures of an obscene nature very prevalent especially among

adolescents. Capabilities of mobile phones in sending SMS, MMS, recording, downloading

photos and videos to make activities and children's activities now become uncontrollable and

worrying many. In addition, we are concerned that if teens know how to send the messages

were obscene with friends at school because they fear it could undermine individuals

involved. They are still young indeed have a desire to try and see something new.

Unfortunately, most of the teenagers of today become addicted to activities spread

pornographic pictures and videos through mobile phones. If the condition is left will be

particularly severe impact on adolescents because of the concern this situation spread to other

problems such as rape, adultery, free sex and pregnancy out of wedlock.

    2.3 Waste of money

Waste of money occurs when the use of sms, mms, call and GPRS too much excess capacity.

If cell phones are used by students, parents had to bear the cost. The youth in particular are so

easily influenced by ads that are displayed like load down some songs and application charge.

Idol voting is also one of our waste without realizing it have made a significant profit doubled

    to online service providers.

The use of mobile phones are not only a waste of time but also a waste of money. Most of us

use pre-paid cards or postpaid to reload credit facilitate us to make calls, post SMS, MMS or

surf the internet. Even individuals who use pre-paid cards are not allocated a specific amount

and only depends on the rate of use. There were times when pre-paid cards worth Rs 50 can

be finished within a week. A growing number of more consumption rate costs incurred to

increase the value of the credit. In addition, there are also individuals who love to exchange

mobile phone. They are very keen to have a wide variety of mobile phones because of the

diversity function in it. In the meantime, individuals who switch cell phones because they

want to keep pace with the trend 'time. They do not want to say behind. Some students are

willing to spend money to buy a cell phone and some are using the scholarships or loans

granted. This situation will harm them. Furthermore, individuals who enjoy turn mobile

phones may want to show their friends. Notwithstanding that we do need to be coordinated

with the budget and their ability because it can cause negative effects on an individual.

    2.4 Waste of time

Among other disadvantages that can be identified is a waste of time. This happens when a lot

of time spent playing "games", browse social sites, serving sms / mms and also air "chat". A

lot of time with mobile phones has caused time to exercise, read a book, meet friends and

have limited time with the family. This impact is not good for the long term.

Some authorities consider the use of mobile phones among teenagers wasting time. Many

parties agree with this statement, especially the parents. Sophisticated mobile phone has

many advantages that can distract functions for students. They will be a lot of time spent

playing the games, surf the internet, particularly Facebook and Twitter, download your

favourite songs, videos, and upload their profile pictures, chat and Skype. The spare time they

should be filled with leisure activities, learning and spending time with his family, the effects

of cell phone use has caused them to waste time alone. Effect can be seen coming through the

performance deterioration of school children, school absenteeism and tough permission is

    focused in class.

2.5 Conversation among family members / friends dropped

If we look at our society out there, almost all busy with cell phones. Notable example when

we go to the restaurant, a family is waiting for their orders arrive; children, mother and father

are all busy with cell phones. Too little conversation. Is this a good thing for our society in

    the future?

Disadvantages of the use of mobile phones is also seen through the more distant family

relationships. If observed clearly, most of our society does not seem to care about their family

matters. They seem to not want to create a harmonious communication with his family.

Examples can be seen when a family out for a meal together, they are busy with their cell

phones so that communication between families is limited. This situation should not occur

because the family belongs among the most important people in our lives. Conversations that

too little will make family relationships become very tenuous and keep their distance

relationship. Situation or the problem will spread to their children if the parents do not know

their role. A child is likely to be very isolated and makes them passive individual adults. This

should not happen to our society for fear that future children will be affected. The use of

mobile phones is not wrong but should not be too wise to use it and default to progress to

forget the important things in life.

    2.6 Affect health

Excessive use of old mobile phones can affect health. Eyes have to work harder and will be

quickly exhausted because the focus too long on the "screen" is small. Shoulder and neck

pain as a result will also long bow facing handset. Fingers can also be painful if too long to

reply sms. In addition, fear of radiation also able to affect health in the long run.

In spite of all the technological advances, many people do not take serious side effects that

may be encountered. Many who reject the truth of the rumors that various types of

technology may threaten life or comfort ksihatan. There are individuals who make numerous

assumptions and act recklessly without authentic information. However, the lack of

awareness of health then most individuals uses an unlimited cell phone. The researchers have

made a number of studies involving the effects of cell phone use on human health such as

excessive use of old mobile phones can affect health. Eyes have to work harder and will be

quickly exhausted because the focus too long on screen? Shoulder and neck pain as a result

will also long bow facing handset. Fingers can also be painful if overlong reply SMS. In

addition, fear of radiation also able to affect health in the long run. Modern society depends

more on the different types of technology for each job to be easy without the hassles.

Dependence on technology like cell phones have advantages and disadvantages. In addition,

the mobile phone also risking one's life from attack tumors with the use of ear-than-expected

    handset ten years.

Each of us should be reminded not to be too obsessed with mobile phones as indirectly

detrimental to yourself. Maybe this is part of the lifestyle of our community who want to look

stylish looks and follow the 'trend' but should be done sparingly so as not to ignore the needs

    of others in everyday life.

    2.7 Affect Education

Disadvantages are dedicated to the students in any subject they may be affected if the time

allotted for studying has changed with the times to treat a cell phone. It has thus distract

them. Various interesting applications in mobile phones more appealing to them than facing

textbooks. If students bring cell phones into the classroom, the worse things will happen at

any focus on what is taught by teachers will be affected. Permission to bring mobile phones

to school is something that should be noted by all parties. Do not simply because of two

advantages have closed four of five evils. More disadvantages than advantages bring cell

    phones to school.

For school students, the use of mobile phones which often harm their subjects may be

affected if the time allotted for studying time has been replaced by mobile phones serve.

Parents who do not monitor the activities of children may not be aware of their children are

too complacent and SMS chat. It thus overpass them especially when mobile phones brought

to school. Difficult students concentrate in class because they are too busy playing with their

mobile phones than listening to the teacher. Without realizing it, this situation has made

students hooked up do not want to complete school work. Permission bring cell phones in

schools encourage students to do things that are not good for example copying during

examinations. With this handset the students thought that they should not bother to revise the

book for hours and struggle to learn until late at night. This is because the use of their mobile

phones only easy to replicate during examination. Permission to bring mobile phones to be

considered by many as it is a lot more harm than good.

Function mobile telephone games are meant for entertainment at leisure but also if students

misused. They prefer to play games than spend time applications for revision lessons. There

are also some students who like to listen to the radio through mobile phones and wear hearing

aids during revise lessons. This makes them unable to concentrate while studying and will

cause them to get worse results in exams.

    3.0 Conclusion

In conclusion, cell phone users should be ethical. Excessive use of mobile phones and not

responsible not only detrimental to the users themselves even public .In that case, the

formulation of the telecommunications act firmly to be done to curb the misuse of mobile

    phones.

Several tips can be used as; Activate the speakerphone when using it will reduce the level of

energy and radiation hazards. The farther your ears from your mobile phone, meaning the

lower the rate radiation . With the use of the cable as the power band, modem and 2 Sub.

Sms better because it reduces radiation exposure stop in your ear. And it distanced mobile

phone from the head and body.

Setting your mobile phones off line mode or flight mode when it is not used because it will

turn off the transmitter can still use it to function games, camera or music except for the

internet. Only Use mobile phones when you are in space expanse. Limitation of its use when

you are in the elevator, the car or the toilet.

Observe your mobile phones battery indication. Reduce use when the batteries become weak

due to the effects of radiation so high at the time. Use the alternating ears while using your

mobile phones. This will reduce the danger of radiation exposure in one ear just the ones that

are often associated with the risk of brain tumors and cancer glands in the ear.

The original purpose of facilitating the use of mobile phones is our respect regardless of

distance and we also cannot deny its importance in our daily lives. Therefore, to avoid the

phone abused by naive teenagers, parents should not encourage their children to use mobile

phones as a child, or constantly monitor and advise them on the use of mobile phones so that

they use it for good purposes.

In the other hand, the uses of mobile phones among students do more bad effects than good.

Students harness the advantages and avoid the disadvantages of using mobile phones as well

as role models, bad be avoided. As the saying goes, grasp let up so the coals of charcoal,

therefore, concrete steps, systematic and pragmatic approach must be implemented by all

parties on an on-going basis and not just for the warm chicken manure only to eradicate the

problems that arise due to the use of mobile phones and produce a vision for youth adolescent

    nation's hope.
