He is Dorian Ho whose young eponymous label for after-office hours is now sold in Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, Pois in Singapore and Saks Fifth Avenue in New York

among other leading retail destinations.

他就是Dorian Ho，一位年輕的知名高級服裝品牌創辦人，這個品牌在香港的Lane Crawford、新加坡的Pois和美國紐約Saks Fifth Avenue均有銷售，而且在零售界中占

Created in 2001 by the Boston University marketing graduate, the Dorian Ho Collection made its international debut on both sides of the globe that year, at the

Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Sydney and at New York’s Seventh on Sixth.

波士頓大學市場系畢業的Dorian Ho 在2001年開始了他的創作和國際巡演，參加各類國際盛事，如澳大利亞的悉尼Mercedes時裝周和紐約的Seventh on Sixth。


Eschewing the position and power that is his birthright had he taken over the family firm —which manufactures for global brands such as Donna Karan and Calvin

Klein — Ho chose instead to “intern”, upon his return to Hong Kong, at the Australian label Country Road before creating his own Doriano label for China in 1993.

He sold it 7 years later to raise the capital for his high-octane Dorian Ho evening collection for the bewitching hours after the sun sets.

Dorian Ho的家族是世界級品牌Donna Karan和Calvin Klein的毛衣製造商，他沒有繼承家業而選擇了到澳大利亞著名時裝牌子Country Road工作，並在1993年回流香港開

創了專門針對中國職業女性市場的首個時裝品牌Doriano。

10年後他出售此品牌來聚集並提升資本，同時轉投入到晚禮服的設計製作，並於澳大利亞推出了”DORIAN HO”這高級成衣品牌。


“I made my niche evening gowns because it is dominated by European names when Asians also have a winning formula for nights out which is dazzling feminine

and alluring,” he said.

Dorian這樣告訴我們：“我開創了晚禮服的先河，因為過去是歐洲控制這個市場，但是亞洲同樣有成功的例子，擁有了令人眼睛為之一亮的迷人晚裝。”


During November 2006, he is being awarded and being invited as the designer representing Hong Kong in showing his couture collection ‘Chandelier’ especially

designed for the Moët & Chandon's Tribute to Asian Fashion Designers.

最近，Dorian更在“亞洲時裝設計師雲裳獻禮2006”中成為被表揚的五名設計師之一。2005年年底更進軍婚紗市場，在港開設首家 “Dorian Ho Wedding”之旗艦店。

May 1993:Doriano International is established and Doriano, a ready-to-wear line along the lines of Max & Co from the Italian Max Mara group is born with its first shop in Guangzhou, China.

May 1997: After the Asia’s economic crisis, Doriano had gone franchise and expanded rapidly throughout all parts of China.

October 2000: The 50th Doriano boutique in China opens in Shanghai after which Ho sells off the entire chain to a Chinese competitor.

May 2001:Dorian Ho Collection debut at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week


September 2001:Dorian Ho Collection debut at New York’s Fashion Week


October 2002:Dorian Ho collection and accessories make their debut at Hong Kong’s prestigious Lane Crawford department store and becomes an instant hit with Asian stars such as Sandy Lam, Gigi Leung, Karen Mok and Coco Lee


November 2002:Ho’s show at the first A/W edition of the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Melbourne and clinches orders from Kuwait’s premium boutique, Villa Moda


May 2003: Ho dresses Oz stars Rebecca Cartwright, Alexandra Davies and Pia Miranda, among others, for the Logies, the Australian Oscars


February 2004:Ho presents the A/W 2004 Hollywood Glamour collection at New York’s Olympus Fashion Week after which stylists from the E! Entertainment Network borrow samples for loan to Oscar nominees for that red-carpet ‘stroll’


August 2004:Ho launches D’Orient by Dorian Ho, his east-west look in Singapore at Pois @ Paragon.


August 2004Dorian Ho was appointed as the Ambassador of MIELE Laundry Care Line, Hong Kong


September 2004:Ho shows his first appearance in Shanghai International Fashion Week with his A/W 2004 Hollywood Glamour collection and is also being presented with New Generation Fashion Designer Medal.


December 2004:Ho was invited to present his latest S/S 2005 Collection for the first time in Korea at the Busan 2005 S/S Prêt-A-Porter Busan Fashion Week.


May 2005Ho presents his Pre Fall Cinematic Collection at the 10th Mercedes Australia Fashion Week titled Miele and Me Dorian Ho S/S 05 “My Beautiful Launderette” in Sydney.


September 2005Ho enters the Japan market with his debut launch in the Anniversaire – Omotesando. The delicate mixture of colors, fabric and style was well received in Tokyo, Japan.


November 2005With numerous demand on wedding gowns and to cater for the “adore” of the clients, Ho has launched his very first bridal collection as well as opened the “Dorian Ho Wedding”concept store.


November 2005Dorian Ho Wedding Launch Event @ Intercontinental Hotel, Hong Kong


March 2006Ho shows his debut bridal launch in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a milestone in his overseas launch in the wedding business.


April 2006Ho shows his latest S/S 2006 Collection as well as his Bridal Collection at the Shanghai Fashion Extravaganza. Ho was being presented “Outstanding Chinese Designer Award 2006” by the Shanghai Government.


April 2006Ho presents his latest collection for the 6th time at the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week in Sydney.


November 2006Being awarded as one of the top 5 Asian designers, Ho shows his couture collection “Chandelier” especially designed for the Moet & Chandon Tribute to Asian Fashion Designers.


March 2007:Ho was presented with the worthless awards “Bangkok International Fashion Week 2007, Recognition Awards” by the Royal Princess of Thailand. Among the recipients of this award are Jimmy Choo from London and Khoon Hooi from Malaysia.
