Pixel Detector Commissioning
Electronics Engineer Rusty Boyd is resident at CERN to help in pixel and ID commissioning.
Contributions of OUHEP members at CERN: HVPP4 design, construction, installation (all) Off-detector electronics installation (complete) Pixel detector calibration (MS) ID shifts: Pixel & ID Data Quality, Pixel DAC, Cosmic Ray
and collision data taking, etc. (all) Laser Safety Officer (GB) Shift Leader in Matters of Safety (GB) Counting room M&O (all) ID cooling system operation (GB)

ATLAS Upgrade OU and OSU joined collaboration to develop the inner
detector optical link for the ATLAS upgrade LHC Luminosity will increase by factor of 10 in 2 phases Phase 2 upgrade installation in ~2017? Three year R&D phase (completed)
Collaboration with Ohio State U. Irradiations at CERN in Aug. 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & IU in 2008 Total OU budget $63K
OU and OSU are collaborating on Opto-box for the Insertable B Layer (IBL) Opto-box holds, powers, and cools opto-boards used for optical
fiber data transmission from IBL G. Boyd is technical contact OSU graduate student will work on project

Software Projects Tier 2 Center
ATLAS management selected OU, LU, UT-Arlington, UNM, as a Tier 2 Center (Southwest Tier 2 Center)
Collaboration developed grid software: PanDA OCHEP linux cluster deployed and running DOE EPSCoR funding for OU/LU NSF funding (subcontract from UTA)
Amount negotiated each year ($110K for FY10)
Physics Analysis: OCHEP collaboration begins on physics topics, building on Tevatron experience b tagging top physics Higgs/SUSY searches

Conclusions
OCHEP personnel are contributing to ATLAS pixel detector commissioning and operation
OCHEP collaboration on ATLAS upgrade and IBL optical link development started
ATLAS SW Tier 2 Center created and OCHEP linuxcluster is deployed and is currently being upgraded to allow analysis jobs in addition to production jobs
OUHEP desktop cluster is deployed as Tier 3 resource and will be upgraded with ARRA funds
OCHEP personnel collaborating on grid software development in support of ATLAS, D0, and OSG
OCHEP personnel collaborating on ATLAS physics analysis
