India is a unique travel destination that is growing in popularity, but has still not achieved the visitor numbers of other tourist destinations in Asia. As a result, one can find the true India and its people without competing for space. It is a vast country incorporating the Himalayan Mountain range to the north, lush beaches to the south, desert in the west and tribal lands in the east. The cities are modern, with 1 st class accommodation and shopping on offer and the people are welcoming and pleased to serve. The economy is booming, bringing wealth and prosperity across the nation, providing improved living standards, health and welfare to the population. Visitors are often struck by the contrasting expectation to the reality of mod- ern India. It is a rural country and farming is at the centre of the tour with visits to dairy, fruit, vegetables, rice and cereals as you explore both modern agricultural operations and traditional small family farms. Enjoy markets with their bright colours of vegetable, fruit and spices, explore farm land by ox drawn carts and contrast the organic and non- organic production methods. We will see the agricultural improvements with mechanisation of farming replacing the hand picking and planting of old. Visit the classic sites in Old Dehli with a tour of the Red Fort Mosque and take a rickshaw ride to the spice market, stay in the old city of Khajuraho and visit the Temple, transfer to Agra to enjoy spectacular architecture of palaces and temples, including the Taj Mahal, before taking a train journey to Ranthambore National Park. Here you will enjoy a 2 night stay and safaris to find the illusive Indian tiger, the Asiatic deer, monkeys, hyena, crocodiles and water birds. Spend 3 nights in the city of Jaipur, ‘The Pink City’, before returning to Delhi to end the tour. FARMING TOUR TO INDIA 23RD FEB - 12TH MARCH 2018
