Crafted as a love letter to the theatre and to the world of Charles Dickens, this new twist on the night that changed Ebenezer Scrooge’s life will thrill and delight. The iconic story of discovery and redemption takes Scrooge on a journey through Christmases past, present, and future to learn the error of his ways and gives him a second chance to open his heart. Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchit, and Tiny Tim will be brought to unique new life on the stage with original music, magical stagecraft, a chorus of children, and actors playing multiple roles in this masterful retelling of Dickens’ classic tale.DATE: 11/27/18 - 12/19/18

“REFUGEE” is generously sponsored by LCEC.Commissioned by Florida Rep, “Refugee” tells the story of three young refugees and their families fleeing violence at home to find the promise of a better life in America. Electrifying, heartbreaking, and timely, the play follows Josef, a Jewish boy leaving Nazi Germany in 1939, Isabel, a Cuban girl escaping Castro’s regime
in 1994, and Mahmoud, a Syrian boy ravaged by the ongoing civil war. Florida Rep education director, Kody C. Jones, approached Coble to adapt the bestselling book
after successful collaborations between Florida Rep and Coble on “Zap” in 2006 and last year’s production of his adaptation of Lois Lowry’s
Newbery-winning novel, “The Giver.”
