Our HistoryEstablished in 2004 at the Universityof Richmond’s School of ContinuingStudies, the Osher Lifelong LearningInstitute operates through the supportof its members, the University ofRichmond, and through an endow-ment from the Bernard Osher Foun-dation of San Francisco. There aremore than 100 Osher Institutes in col-leges and universities throughout theUnited States. We offer intellectualstimulation and civic engagement in acommunity of lifelong learners, age 50and better. Through the Osher Insti-tute you may rediscover your love forlearning on the beautiful University ofRichmond campus. We offer a widearray of academic and liberal artscourses and programs year round, inthe spring, summer and fall semesters.Osher offerings include undergraduatecredit courses for audit, special interestgroups, mini-courses, free lectures,community service projects, and more.There are no entrance requirements,no tests and no grades.
