Chief officer Annika Larsson rewarded by WISTA Sweden for her leadership Annika Larsson, Chief officer on M/T PANDION, has been rewarded with the WISTA Sweden Compass Rose 2008. The award was handed out at the celebration of the World Maritime Day in Gothenburg September 25, 2008. Annika Larsson is rewarded for her interest in constantly developing herself and others. Her leadership is pedagogic and humble; she has an overall view of the ship, its crew but also Broström as an organisation. She is a strong role model. Annika starter her carrier as radio officer, but when their service no longer was needed, she decided to study and become a Master Mariner, and as such she is an inspiration and a good leader. The importance of good leadership is at focus in our organization, says Maria Nygren, President of WISTA Sweden. At this point in time, when recruitment is high on the agenda in shipping, positive role models and good leaders are more important than ever. The WISTA Compass Rose is an award given to a leader within shipping and trading focusing on leadership and visionary thinking, combined with a large amount of engagement for his/her organisation. The leadership award was handed out for the first time in connection with WISTA Sweden celebrated 20 years anniversary, 2007. The jury consists of Mr Ulf Granander, CEO ACL Sweden AB, Mrs Kersti Tagesson, HR Director Ports of Stockholm, Mrs Marie Trollvik, Consultant Trollvik Resource, Mr Percy Österström, CEO Österströms Rederi AB and as Chairman, Ms Lena Göthberg, Area WOMEN’S INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING & TRADING ASSOCIATION WISTASWEDEN.ORG

Annika Larsson, Chief officer on M/T PANDION, has been rewarded with the WISTA Sweden Compass Rose 2008. The award was handed out at the celebration of the World Maritime Day in Gothenburg September 25, 2008.
