Resumo

A proposta deste projeto de intervenção

pedagógica na escola é estudar o gênero

textual biografia nas aulas de Língua

Estrangeira moderna (LEM) para os

alunos melhorarem a leitura e a

compreensão de textos nas aulas de LI.

Nesta pesquisa será estudada a biografia

do idealizador dos primeiros jogos

olímpicos da era moderna o Barão de

Coubertin e dos campeões olímpicos.

Para isso preparamos esta unidade

didática que apresenta uma seleção de

conteúdos contemporâneos com o

objetivo de tornar o estudo de LI mais

agradável, interativo e interessante para o

aluno.

Nesta unidade didática são utilizados

textos atuais e recursos atraentes, como

ilustrações, fotografias, tabelas, mapas e

quadros que possibilitam um contato com

o conhecimento.

Esperamos que o aluno se identifique

com este material e encontre nele o

prazer de estudar LI.

Apresentação

A proposta desta pesquisa é estudar o gênero textual biografia nas aulas de

Língua Estrangeira Moderna (LEM) para os alunos melhorarem a leitura e a

compreensão de textos nas aulas de LI.

Conforme as DCEs (PARANÁ, 2008. P. 64) “a aula de LEM deve ser um

espaço em que se desenvolvam atividades significativas, as quais explorem

diferentes recursos e fontes, a fim de que o aluno vincule o que é estudado com o que

o cerca”.

Espera-se que o professor empenhe-se na busca de outras fontes com livros,

revistas, jornais e internet para organizar as atividades ligadas ao vocabulário e ao

contexto social para o aluno aumentar suas condições de compreender os textos.

Para isso preparamos esta unidade didática que apresenta uma seleção de

conteúdos contemporâneos com o objetivo de tornar o estudo da língua inglesa mais

agradável, interativo e interessante pois nela são utilizados textos atuais exercícios

diversificados e recursos atraentes como fotografias,ilustrações, tabelas e quadros

que permitem um contato envolvente para o conhecimento.

A visão de aprendizagem de Língua Estrangeira adotada nesta

unidade tem uma influência direta sobre os tipos de atividade propostos.

Organizamos esta unidade didática centrada na interação dos alunos com

o idioma, com o professor, com a classe toda e com os colegas, em

Pierre de Coubertin’s biography

Pierre de Frédy, Baron de Coubertin was Born on January 1, 1863 in Paris,

France into an established family. He was the fourth child of Baron Charles Louis

Frédy, Baron de Coubertin and Marie Marcelle Gigault Crisenoy. He was a French

educator and historian, and founder of International Olympic Committee. He is

considered the father of the modern Olympic Games. In 1894 it was proposed by

Coubertin the motto of the Olympic Games “Citius Altius, Fortius” (mais rápido, mais

alto, mais forte) and it has been official since 1924. In 1908 he formulated his project

of “ Modern Pentathlon”. In 1912 it was created by Pierre de Coubertin the most

important symbol of the Olympic games “the Olympic flag”. Baron de Coubertin died

on September 2, 1937 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Vanderlei Cordeiro de Lima

Vanderlei Cordeiro de Lima was born on August 11, 1969 in Cruzeiro do Oeste,

Paraná, Brazil. He is a former long distance runner who specialized in marathons. He

started out as a cross country runner, representing Brazil at the 1989 and 1992 IAAF

World Cross Country Championship. It was at regional level that he won his first

medals scoring a bronze at the 1993 South American Cross Country Championship.

He received international renown after the spectator Irish priest Cornelius Horan

attacked him at the 2004 Summer Olympics marathon while he was leading the race

at 35 Km. Following the incident he fell from first to third place, winning a bronze

medal. He was later awarded the Pierre de Coubertin medal for sportsmanship in the

race.

The others highlights of his career were wins at the Tokyo International Marathon and

Hamburg Marathon, becoming the regional cross country champion in 1995, and

winning the Marathon at the Pan American Games twice consecutively in 1999 and

2003.

Pierre de Coubertin Medal ( also known as the Coubertin Medal or the true spirit

sportsmanship medal) is a special decoration awarded by the International Olympic

Committee to those athletes and former athletes who exemplify the spirit of the

Vanderlei Cordeiro de Lima is the first Brazilian to receive the Pierre de Coubertin

Medal for the sportsmanship in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

Sinopse

Chariots of fire is a British historical drama film, it tells the fact based story of

two athletes in the 1924 Olympics. Eric Liddell, a devout Scottish Christian who

runs for theglory of God, and Harold Abrahams, an English Jew who runs to

overcome prejudice.

The film was conceived and produced by David Puttnam, written by Colin

Welland, directed by Hugh Hudson. It was nominated for seven academy awards

and , including best picture .

It was ranked 19th in the British film Institute’s list of top 100 British Film. The

film was notable for its memorable instrumental theme tune by Vangelis, who

won the academy award for the best Originial Score.

Nadia Elena Comaneci, born on November 12, 1961 is a Romanian Gymnast, winner

um contato envolvente como conhecimento.o objetivo das atividades é trabalhar em

pares para tornar a aula mais interativa para os alunos se sentirem mais próximos do

idioma, de seus colegas e de seu professor. É necessário realizar a leitura das

atividades com os alunos para eles tirarem possíveis dúvidas sobre o vocabulário.

LESSON 2

Na lição 2 estão presentes atividades que visam a interação com os alunos,

pois eles terão a oportunidade de falar sobre suas preferências sobre os esportes, e

discutir com seus colegas de sala de aula .

O objetivo dessas atividades é trabalhar em pares e em pequenos grupos para

os alunos se familiarizarem com os colegas de classe, com o idioma e com o

professor. É importante que o professor ou professora realize a leitura das atividades

para os alunos tirarem possíveis dúvidas gramaticais e de pronúncia.

LESSON 3

Na lição 3 será tratado o assunto da Unidade Didática que é o gênero textual

biografia, as atividades são diversificadas com recursos atraentes, como fotografias,

quadros e ilustrações, pois o objetivo das atividades é trabalhar as características do

gênero textual biografia.

Nesta lição será estudada a biografia do idealizador dos primeiros jogos

Olímpicos da era moderna o barão Pierre de Coubertin que deixou uma importante

contribuição para a humanidade. Durante a realização das atividades de leitura, é

interessante chamar a atenção para a organização dessa biografia, apresentando

dados sobre o biografado, como nome, datas, nascimento e local onde viveu.

LESSON 4

A lição 4 vai tratar do tema da Unidade didática Olympic Games (Jogos

Olímpicos), nessa lição vamos assistir ao video “ a historia das Olímpiadas” que

aborda os Jogos Olímpicos desde a Grécia antiga até os jogos da era moderna. As

atividades presentes nessa lição são variadas, apresentam recursos como quadros e

fotografias que possibilitam um contato envolvente com a informação.

O objetivo da atividade é trabalhar em pares para os alunos trocarem idéias a

respeito da atividade. É importante que o professor organize os pares ou pequenos

grupos para os alunos realizarem as atividades, a correção das atividades pode ser

feita coletivamente.

LESSON 5

Na lição 5, vamos estudar uma famosa personalidade feminina da seleção

brasileira de futebol feminino que através de seus atos deixou uma importante

contribuição para o futebol Brasileiro.

As atividades previstas nessa lição visam promover a interação entre os alunos

da classe, pois apresentam recursos interessantes como fotos de personalidades do

esporte, e quadros que permitem um contato direto com a informação. ,

O objetivo principal das atividades é tornar a aula mais interativa para os alunos

para eles poderem se expressar, falar de suas preferências sobre os esportes de seu

cotidiano. A correção pode ser realizada coletivamente ou individualmente

LESSON 6

A lição 6 novamente trata do assunto da Unidade Didática que é o gênero

textual biografia. É também o momento de conversar com os alunos sobre as

características do gênero textual biografia.

É o momento do professor realizar a leitura do texto com seus alunos e e

conversar com eles sobre a organização dessa biografia, apresentando dados como

data, nomes, verbos no pretérito perfeito e a ordem em que o autor escreveu a

biografia. O objetivo das atividades é estimular os alunos na leitura de biografias para

aumentar as suas condições de compreender textos em LEM inglês.

As atividades podem ser realizadas em pares ou em pequenos grupos, para

os alunos trocarem idéias e interagirem com a turma na realização das tarefas.

LESSON 7

A lição 7 trata da análise do filme Chariots of Fire (Carruagens de fogo), filme

que conta a historia de dois atletas ,Eric Liddell um missionário escocês que corria

em nome de Deus, e Harold Abrahams um inglês que corria para vencer o

preconceito de ser um judeu. Nesse momento é importante conversar com os alunos

sobre as características de um bom atleta, como disciplina, dedicação, força de

vontade e perseverança.

As atividades previstas na análise do filme podem ser realizadas em pares ou

pequenos grupos, é interessante realizar a leitura das atividades com a classe para os

alunos tirarem possíveis dúvidas sobre o vocabulário e pronúncia.

LESSON 8

A lição 8 aborda o tempo verbal passado (past tense), o passado é um tempo

verbal que usamos para descrever ações que já aconteceram, esse tempo verbal é

uma das características do gênero textual biografia.

O objetivo das atividades é trabalhar a pronúncia dos verbos regulares

terminados em ED, para os alunos aumentarem as suas condições de compreender

textos em língua inglesa para ficarem mais próximos do idioma e de seus colegas de

classe.

Também é importante aproveitar o momento em que os alunos estão realizando

as atividades para conversar com a turma sobre os valores e características que são

esperadas de um atleta, como disciplina, força de vontade e dedicação que são

essenciais para um bom desenvolvimento esportivo.

É essencial realizar a leitura do texto e das atividades com a turma, para os

alunos esclarecerem dúvidas sobre o vocabulário e a pronúncia.

LESSON 9

Na lição 9, novamente abordamos o gênero textual biografia e suas

características, será estudada a biografia de uma famosa ginasta romena que através

de seu atos deixou uma importante contribuição para a humanidade. O objetivo dessa

atividade é utilizar textos que instiguem o aluno a se expressar, falar de seu cotidiano.

Essa lição finaliza a unidade didática, é o momento em que os alunos

produzirão uma biografia que será apresentada para a turma e a escola

posteriormente. Também é o momento de agendar o laboratório de informática, ver os

horários disponíveis para a turma realizar as pesquisas.
