How do we represent knowledge so it is not directed to a purpose, and thus can be used for any purpose.
We should ensure that no inference is lost. A simple example:
A + B = C
We could have two of them, and then connect them so
IF A + B = C THEN D + E = F
with Modus Tollens available if needed
To be able to do that, what must the structure look like?
Operators with Specific Functions
We can wrap the operations of an Activity in a box, but a box without initial direction. We can have the logical connection as input, so we assert the activity must occur, or we can leave the logical connection undefined, so it can be an input or an output.
Linking Knowledge
A door has components, one of which is a door mechanism. Mechanisms are actuated by actuators, one type of which is a solenoid. So, “door solenoids”.
