Laying Down a Carpet
The planes hover overhead,Waiting, anticipating,Watching like a motherLooking after her children. They attend all battles,Cheering on the participantsWith explosive enthusiasm. They lay down a carpet,Covering the splinters Of annihilated hopes and dreams,That encompasses all. They are unprejudiced,And smother everyoneIn their breathtaking embrace. They call out into the darkness,Like a beacon of hope,Accept us with open arms,So that we can take the pain away.Accept us with open arms,So that we can save you all.
