Politics:

The thirteen colonies developed their own system for politics. They didn’t favor the political system Britain had, the monarchy, so came up with a unique system. They divided the entire colonies into three groups: proprietary colonies, royal colonies, and charter colonies. Proprietary colonies are small groups of me who owned vast amount of lands and had certain authority in one’s region. Royal colonies were the king’s patents. The charter colonies were both parliament and the king, and their authority came from the charter.

Conclusion: Gaining the thirteen colonies was definitely a positive choice because it was the

very first territory that United States acquired and it also signified the start of an

independent nation. Free from Britain’s control, the United States slowly but constantly

developed from their current status. They developed their own currency system, political

system, and made laws to have their rights secured within one’s nation. All this done due

to the unification of the colonies. All thirteen colonies, although they were thinking each

other as a separate nation, the thirteen colonies unification under one objective made the

current United States of America. In Britain’s point of view, the independence of the

thirteen colonies wasn’t positive because they lost more than just lands. The British had to

trade with the thirteen colonies to obtain a product, which they took it without any

payment in the past. Another formation of independent nation meant

the possibility of competition. The independence of the thirteen colonies resulted both

positive and negative reaction for two different nations.
