Unit Summary

With the diversity of students in the classroom, there is a need to be culturally sensitive, with the use of arts and crafts; the students get the chance to experience a different culture than they usually have. The students will get to know the Japanese culture, through a hands-on activity and at the same time learn the value of recyling.

Purpose of the assessment:

To find out what they know about Japan or if they ever heard about the country Japan.

To find out what their favorite animal/s or thing/s.

To serve as a review on the basic shapes, colors and ordinal number.
