2. begin with a square sheet of paper and fold it in half
diagonally
3. repeat the same fold in the opposite direction to make a
cross
4. now turn the paper over and fold it squarely in
half
5. then again in the other direction to make a star on the
paper easy!
6. now a little trickier - lay the paper flat like and pull the
fold the two side corners into the base
7. do you see what I mean?
8. it will fold down flat on itself to make a smaller
square
9. fold each outward corner into the centre of the square
(remember to keep the open edges at the small end of the fold
people that didnt had really odd cranes)
10. now you have made an origami kite base
11. unfold the four new folds and turn them inside out
(just like the tricky bit of stage 5 and 6)
12. you have now reached your second base the
diamond
13. take the flaps from the base of the kite and fold them back
on themselves then flatten it out
14. fold the outer corners into the centre as you did to make
the kite (remember keep the open end at the small bit of the fold
no one wants an ugly bird)
15. repeat for all four sides
16. the leggy diamond!
17. now bring each of the new flaps together on each side and
flatten
18. the fox head!
19. fold the foxes nose up to its ears, repeat for the other
side
20. almost there.. pull out the head and tail to the correct
angle and squeeze hard at the join to fix them in place
21. fold the tip of one side inwards and down to give him a
little head
22. like this
23. fold down the wings
24. plump him up a bit by pulling the wings out
25. and there he is your origami crane!
now repeat these steps 999 times for enlightenment
