When working in a new culture, a relocated expat will often face many challenges. A good cultural training program can quickly introduce common pitfalls, misunderstandings, and best practices in the workplace to make the adjustment easier.

Once a family has been relocated, it is in the employing company’s best interest to provide a professional introduction to Indonesian culture. While the everyday duties may appear to be similar, many underlying issues can seriously jeopardize the success and effectiveness of the assigned expat if they do not have a basic understanding of the host culture.

Our one day cultural training examines culture and where it comes from. The program explains common Indonesian cultural behavior and how these behaviors will effect the workplace. We aim to point out the common differences that most mangers will experience once they start to work and discuss the roots of this behavior.

CULTURAL TRAINING"Our materials suggest how to best work within situations that most likely cannot be revised but share suggestions how to revise corporate culture that can be influenced. Best practices for motivation, team building and corporate mindset are also covered."

Our package addresses Culture Shock that will acquaint the trainee with the types of emotional reaction that an assignee may experience in confronting a new and different culture environment. The trainee needs to be aware that a global relocation is a very emotional time for the entire family. This is a challenge and it is crucial that the trainee is given the tools to cope with the changes.

After completing the day training our clients can view difficult situations with a more open mind and should be able to appreciate situations from a more local perspective. Learning and applying lessons from cross cultural trainings helps to break down stereotypes, increase understanding and promote goodwill which hopefully will ultimately lead to a more productive posting for all parties.

Although our basic program is already a very rounded program that offers practical information we also are very open to customize the program to meet specific needs that the company or expatriate may be experiencing.
