Laurent Marliere – Chairman

Laurent Marliere is an expert in management of complex organizations and international networks. He is a recognized specialist in the field of strategic marketing, Islamic finance, Islamic markets and economy. Laurent Marliere is the CEO of IsFin and Chairman of ODG. ISFIN has branches in 65 countries. On the academic side, Marliere lectures on strategic marketing and marketing for the Islamic markets. He is coordinator of several legal guides such as Getting the Deal Through “Islamic Finance &

markets”, Thomson Reuters Practical Law guide on “Sovereign Wealth Funds and Islamic Funds”, … He authored several books on marketing for professional firms. As a recognized worldwide expert on strategic marketing, he is regular speaker to global forums and conferences such as IBA, UIA, AIJA, IFN, WIBC, WIEF MIHAS, MIPIM, LEGALWEEK. He speaks English, French, German, Italian and Dutch. Jean-Baptiste Santelli – Legal Advisor

At De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés, Jean-Baptiste Santelli is specialized in banking and finance law. He mainly deals with syndicated lending, structured financing and debt restructuring transactions either in France or abroad. He is notably very active in ethic and alternative structured financing, particularly in Islamic finance. Jean-Baptiste Santelli advises credit establishments, companies, governments or international financial institutions. He regularly speaks at HEC Paris about Banking and Finance law and

teaches to Paris-Dauphine University Executive Master of Islamic finance. Jean-Baptiste Santelli holds a postgraduate degree (Mastère) in International Risk Management (HEC Paris, 2007), a postgraduate degree (Master 2) in International Commercial Law (Paris-V University, 2005) and a Master’s degree in International Business Law (Paris-I University, 2004). He speaks French and English.

Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary – Vice-Chairman

Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary is a faculty member at Keio University, Tokyo. Currently, he is also a senior assistant to the Dean of the Asian Development Bank Institute (think-thank and research institute of the Asian Development Bank). He holds a Ph.D. in Energy economics from Keio University and M.A. in Energy economics from Tehran University, Iran. He was a visiting professor at the University of Tokyo and visiting scholar at several institutes. He authored more than 40

academic papers and book chapters and authored/edited 4 books in energy economics, banking and finance, and Asian Economics fields. He has more than 10 years of experiences in financial and economic consulting. Presently he is acting in advisory capacity to several governmental organizations and banks in Iran. He is also founder of the Orieco group and vice-chairman and board member of the ODG. He speaks Persian, English and Japanese. Zineb Bensaid – Senior Consultant

Zineb Bensaid works at IsFin as Senior Consultant where her primary missions include the detection of new opportunities for partnerships, the implementation, planning, management of internal and external projects for the company. She has gained experience in the Halal Industry by accompanying several Belgian companies in international trade fairs in Muslim countries (Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia), by looking for customers for these companies onsite for the Walloon

Agency for the export and Foreign investment (AWEX) within the Halal Club framework. She briefed more than 300 Heads of Belgian companies on "Doing business in Malaysia" during the Belgian Economic Mission to Malaysia and Singapore headed by Princess Astrid of Belgium. She handles international projects related to the Halal industry and Islamic Finance, especially in the African and South East Asia markets. She speaks French, Arabic and English. She also has basic knowledge of Spanish and Dutch.

Mohsen Abdollahi – Managing Director Dr. Mohsen Abdollahi is Associate Professor of International and Environmental Law at Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) in Iran. Currently, he serves as the Head of Energy and Environmental Law department in Law Faculty of SBU, and Legal Adviser at the Presidential Office. He is also Member of Boards of several scientific and academic institutions including Iranian Association of Human Rights, Modern

International Studies, International Research Institution based in Dubai UAE, Iranian Association for United Nations Studies, and UNESCO Chair for Human Rights, Peace and Democracy in Tehran, Iran. His communication skills and professional network combine with his extensive knowledge of all current legal, regulatory and economic issues, enabling him to supervise all matters implying political and business aspects of Iran. Louis de Gaulle – Legal Advisor

Louis de Gaulle tackles issues covering several different legal expertise, as counsel and in litigation, and regularly appears before civil, administrative and arbitration courts. His entrepreneurial mind-set and vision of the legal profession enabled him to establish the law firm De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés. Narges Jannesari – Board member

Narges Jannesari is attorney at law and specialist in investment and finance law. She received her LLM in international law from Mofid University in 2004 and her D.B.A certificate in 2015. Also, she is Member of Iranian Central Bar Association since 2006. She was member of International Affairs Commission of Iranian Central Bar Association for two years also she was only Iranian lawyer in CWCC (The Chemical Weapons Convention

Coalition) from 2011 to 2013. She was senior partner and head of finance and investment department of Shayan law firm who have assisted many international companies to expand into Iran. She created Jannesari & Associates as a full service Iranian law firm principally engaged in provision of wide-range of legal services to international clients in Iran with professional legal team who are also very aware of all the Iranian business culture, administration and bureaucratic systems, and how best every client must be served.
