Willoway Nurseries, Inc. started at its present location in northern Ohio on 10 acres in 1954. Over the years we have grown from a landscaping operation into one of the largest nurseries in Ohio and rank among the top 40 nationwide. Today, Willoway has over 1,000 acres in production and is a premier wholesale supplier to independent garden centers and landscape contractors in over 25 states. We grow a vast selection of quality nursery stock-- from perennials to shrubs, and annuals to evergreens. Willoway also operates a state of the art 5 acre greenhouse where we propagate much of our own plant material from cuttings and seeds. To keep up with the growing industry, Willoway stays involved in industry trade shows and events and participates in many well known national brand marketing programs. The nursery is a family owned company, now in its third generation, with 175 full time and 300 seasonal employees.
Our internship program offers students a once in a lifetime opportunity to work in all areas of a large nursery, with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced managers in the industry.
Students will gain experience in all departments of the nursery including: Plant Maintenance, Greenhouse Production, Mechanics, Propagation, Field Production, Irrigation, Pot-in-pot Production, Pest Management, Shipping, Sales and Marketing, Wholesale Distribution, Inventory, and much more.
