• Teaching ZPeriod Worship, MS Worship, Orff Level I and Level II, Drama, Private Music Lessons

• Member of FMEA, NAfME, Florida Vocal Association, NFL Orff

WHAT IS THE ORFF MALLET ENSEMBLE?

• Orff is a teaching method designed by German composer Dr. Carl Orff to instill a love of music in students through instrument playing and rhythm work.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CLASS

• TO PLAY TOGETHER IN AN ENSEMBLE SETTING• TO LEARN RHYTHM AND MELODIC PATTERNS• TO READ MUSICAL NOTATION• CREATE AND ARRANGE MUSICAL SELECTIONS• CREATE A BLACKLIGHT SHOW• ORFF I - FOCUS IS ON PLAYING SKILLS AND SIMPLE RHYTHM PATTERNS• ORFF II - BUILDS ON WHAT THEY LEARNED IN ORFF I

• Black polo shirt w/logo with kahki pants (provided by teacher)

• Blacklight clothing (solid black pants or long black shorts. This can be athletic wear)
