Emily is a student Linn Benton Community CollegeWorks at Gourley Family Dairy Farm by ScioActive in church, essay contests4-HFFA

Emily will spend much of her reign in Oregon schools delivering educational presentations about life on a dairy farm and the nutritional benefits of consuming dairy products.

• sanitarian for Pet Food Div. and Distribution Center, with periodic inspections of Fluid Milk and Processed Potato plants

• The Hervin Co., 2 years, Quality Control Manager for a pet food manuf. in Tualatin, OR.

• ODA, 32 years, Food safety specialist with increasing involvement in the dairy program.

• Dairy plant sampler, 5 years.• Pasteurizer equipment testing, 13 years.• Dairy Specialist, 10 years.

• Favorite memories:• The best years of my career were working with the folks in

the dairy industry and the cows, too. I will always have milk with my PB&J, half and half in my coffee and ice cream for dessert.

• Graduated Roseburg High School in June of 1968

• Attended Umpqua Community College in 1969

• “I have done my best all through life to destroy the national average of people changing jobs every 5-6 years.”

• Payless Drug Store in Roseburg, 1966 - 1974.

• Started work with Umpqua Dairy on April 6,1974 as a driver until 1998 when he switched to sales and customer service until present

• Wife Brenda. Children Andrea, Brian. Grandchildren Alisa, Reese, Bronwyn

• Active church and prison ministry member. Hobbies include golf, fishing, sports card collecting

• Favorite memories:

• The privilege that I had to have worked for Robert (Bob) Feldkampbefore his unfortunate passing in 1988

• The opportunity to have trained both Doug and Steve on the routes that I serviced. All the activities and memories of those training days are sealed and can never be spoken of again. (Per Doug)

“Bob Feldkamp had a motto that we lived by while he

was president of the company

‘We will grow but we will grow slowly.’

When Doug and Steve began their leadership they

removed the word ‘slowly’ from Bob’s motto and we

have never looked back since.”

• Graduated from Elkton High School in 1975

• Attended Umpqua Community College earning an Associate of Arts Degree in Park and Rec in 1977

• Wife Paige. Children Cameron and Monet

• Hired on at Umpqua Dairy on July 10, 1979 as a Home Delivery Driver

• Moved on to milk packaging in 1983 and became the master of Bag-n-Box milk dispenser bags

• Hobbies include working in his shop, riding motorcycles, and eating the freebies at Costco

• Worked at Umpqua Dairy Products for over 39 years

“One of his hidden talents is juggling balls,

specifically tennis balls.

He took part in the talent shows at the local fair

displaying his talent of juggling tennis balls

while eating an apple.”

• Graduated from Highland High School in 1973

• Attended Idaho State University graduating in 1978 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Organization

• Wife Cheryl. Children Scott and Kellen. Grandchildren Kaydance and expecting two more in 2019

• Worked as a driver until 1992 when he moved on to Institutional Sales Coordinator, then Roseburg Sales Manager

• Favorite memories:

• The number of Home Delivery customers that brought gifts and visited the hospital after the birth of our son Kellen

• Driving a semi-truck (with Ernie Jones in the passenger seat for support) from Grants Pass to Gold Beach because Highway 101 had closed

• How all employees came together during the salmonella crisis in 2010

route. Craig remembers Wink calling to offer the job

and indicating,

’You weren’t our first choice’

as he was concerned Craig would move on to another

job. However we can all see that he has stuck around

for a while.”
