EXCURSION TO BERKHAMPSTEAD AND BOURNE END. 123 A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. Evans at the close of his address, on the proposition of the President of the Associa- tion, seconded by Mr. Littleboy, on behalf of the Hertfordshire Natural History Society. The course of the Bourne was then followed to Bourne End, where the stream flows into the Bulbourne. In a portion of its course it was found to have taken temporary possession of the road, a detour having to be made into the adjoining fields to avoid it, and at Bourne End it was observed to be flowing through the usually dry cnlvert under the high road in a powerful stream. The party then dispersed, most of the members of both societies walking to Boxmoor Station. ORDINARY MEETING. FRIDAY, MAY 4TH, 1883. HENRY HICKS, Esq., M.D., F.G.S., President, in the Ohair. The list of donations to the library since the last meeting was read, and the thanks of the Association were returned to the donors. The following were elected members of the Association :- J. Allen-Brown, Esq., F.R.G.S. ; Miss Bessie Adye Buchan; Joseph H. Cowham, Esq., F.G.S. ; W. O. Elliot, Esq.; Mrs Ann Faulding; William F. Laxton, Esq.; George Throssel, Esq. The following papers were then read :-' On the Hunstanton Excursion.' By Wm. Whitaker, Esq., B.A., F.G.S. , On the Park Hill Section on the Woodside and South Oroydon Railway.' By H. M. Klaasen, Esq., F.G.S. 'Note on Ooryphodon Remains from the Woolwich Bed of the Park Hill Section.' By E. T. Newton, Esq., F.G.S. Mr. Klaasen's paper, with Mr. Newton's note, is postponed at their request to the October part, to enable them to complete their investigations.

Ordinary meeting: Friday, May 4th, 1883
