Enhanced patient safety – The POM provides reliable EtCO2 detection allowing clinicians to intervene proactively in real time, while providing nearly twice the FiO2 vs EtCO2 cannulas, hence reducing the risk of hypoxic events during endoscopic procedures.5

No modifying other devicesAdaptability – There are two anatomically-placed entry point membranes on the POM, NO modifying other devices while accommodating the Clinicians device of choice.

Patients are subject to increased risk for hypoxia during gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures.2

Ranging from hypoxia to respiratory distress, cardiopulmonary adverse events account for nearly 60% of upper endoscopy adverse events2, and continue to be a significant risk in the post-operative setting.

Despite comprehensive monitoring, as many as 20% of patients can suffer from hypoxia in the PACU.3

A recent study revealed that the POM mask supplied an average concentration of 85% during procedural sedation, compared to a nasal cannula at an average of 31% FiO2.

The Procedural Oxygen Mask (POM) is a versatile

multi-port capnography mask that allows most

types of scopes, probes and tubes to be inserted

through the mask and into either the mouth or

nose, while maintaining a high percentage of

oxygen delivered to the patient.
