GOD COMES TO US IN HIS WORD
Prayer of Illumination
Experience, faith, reasoning, and
intuition are all important as we seek
to understand our way in this world.
This is true for both the believer and
the unbeliever. At the same time,
we confess that Scripture is vital to
hearing the voice of God for today.
But many experience reading
Scripture (the OT in particular) as
both difficult and at times contrary
to what makes good sense to us.
Tonight we explore that tension in a
way that provides direction for our
reading and guidance to our living.
