You would think that finding glitter glue and booking us into an amusement park would be easy but, in fact, in the last two years, I have visited every visitors site and craft shop in the Netherlands. Just for you! It has been arduous, adventurous and amazing - I wouldn’t have it any other way. If you have any requests for disco songs or more activities, just let me know. In the mean- while, prepare yourself for a programme filled with action, culture and music but especially loads and loads of fun!!!! HARSKAMP DAILY2

HOLY DAYToday is a day for reflection and celebration of faith in the company of new and old friends. We have mass at the beautiful Broederen church and this evening at the silent night procession we will pray for those things that are important to us.Our intentions today are for the Church, world peace, the sick and suffering, our fam-ilies and friends as well as the Order and its works. Our vigil will be one of hope for a resolution to the situation in Iraq.

FR JOHANNES WRITES:

All the buildings at the camp have numbers on them; 113 is the sleeping barracks for the staff and the nerve centre for the media team (Gilly and co.!) and the medical staff. I thought to myself, why don’t we look up the Psalm with the corresponding number?

Psalm 113:

Praise the Lord!Praise, O servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

Blessed be the name of the Lordfrom this time forth and for evermore! From the rising of the sun to its setting,

the name of the Lord is to be praised. The Lord is high above all the nations,

and his glory above the heavens.Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down upon the heavens and the earth?

It is one of the Psalms that praises God and tells of how brilliant and great God is! It is short and sweet and expresses God’s awesomeness and says over and over that we cannot praise God and bless Him enough because He is so great and amazing. God is not distant though, He is great and looks down, not as a mere spectator from a distance, but with love because He is our Father and takes care of us in every moment. Praise the Lord! In Christ and Mary, Father Johannes
