INTRODU TION The light plays a central role in the design of a visual

    environment. Through illumination architecture, humans

    and objects become visible.

Light influences welfare, aesthetic effect and feel that we

can transmit a local. It is only with the light we can perceive the spaces. But light

can also influence the architectural perception: it expands

and enhances the spaces establishes links and defines

    areas and zones.

The appearance of a space can be modified by light,

without changing the physical aspect of it. Light directs the

gaze perception manages and directs the attention to

    detail.

By the light can be distributed and interpret spaces, to

emphasize areas or achieve connections between the

exterior and interior. The light distribution and light levels

have a decisive influence on the perception of

    architecture.

The project is a Catholicchapel, where various

    religious activities are

    performed.

This type of building has a

    high symbolic and according

to the concept to follow a

    sober lighting, which induce

    peace and serenity is

    required. A type of vertical

    illumination is considered

    from the top

    Currently there is no outdoor

lighting, so the architecture of the

building is not highlighted, but with

the interior lighting of the Oratory, a

simple environment is created to get

    the light through the windows.

Lighting with warm light creates a

    more comfortable atmosphere inside,

but considering that you want tohighlight the facade of the chapel, you

can add lighting with cool or neutral

light to the front, to make it

    something more flashy.

We wish to highlight the salient

architectural features such as columns, cornices, windows, this to give greater

depth and create a sense of three-

dimensionality on the facade of the

    Oratory.

In this case is to use floor luminaires

with a narrow spectrum to avoid glareof persons entering the premises.

To avoid placing lights on the facade,

lighting Metal Halide 150 W center,

and sides 70 W luminaires are used,

    with concentrantes bulbs to avoid

    glare

As in the front, you want to

emphasize the salient architecturalfeatures such as cornices, windows,

although not required to be so

demanding, you must also create an

    element of depth.

In this case is to use floor

luminaires with a narrow spectrumand lower power than the front,

    making a slight attenuation and

shadows in the windows of the side

    of the chapel.

It is considered to use a fixture

    between each two windows, to

    prevent the homogeneity and

    simultaneously generate shadows

    on windows ..

Em this case is not so important

to so marked as in other areaslighting, however you can make

    an interesting lighting bullet

through floor and a light on top,

which can be seen from the front

    soft lighting in the back.

3 floor luminaires are also usedwith a narrow spectrum and

lower power than in the front, 70

    W Metal Halide.

    The cross is seen

illuminated from belowand may be from the

front or both sides for a

    shadow projection is

    taken at the top.

    Given an energy saving

    bulb fixture initially in

    front of the cross is

    placed on the sides

    because it is more

    difficult to locate.

Achieving an excellent impression for parishioners and peoplewho use the oratory or passing near, doing flashy, but makinga sober lighting and inspiring an aura of peace and tranquility.

Warm light is preferred to make a more pleasant outdoorenvironment (inside if cold light preferable to keep activeparishioners s).

Floor bullets are preferred in order to achieve less affected thestructure of the oratorio.

Metal Halide luminaires that have a relatively high factor ofefficiency compared to other light sources (greater efficiency, lower power) are used.

Given the rational use of energy (RUE) can be connected to adimmable luminaires system to reduce energy consumption atcertain hours of the night.

Eventually a system of dimerization could attenuate at certain

times the light output to save energy and reduce energyconsumption.

Considering a savings of 50% luminous flux, between 12:30 am

and 6:00 am, we have the following energy saving, having a saving

of up to 25% of annual turnover, which is significant consumption.

A lifespan of over 10 years for selected luminaires is guaranteed and

that meet the parameters of IP 68, which specified that aresubmerged in water, and are also protected against bumps inprotection degree IK10, what which is a high requirement for theapplication to be used. This type of lighting is virtually maintenancefree, however you must consider when changing bulbs, notcompromising the degree of protection, using appropriate screwsand disassemble the fixture elements.

The average service life is 12000-15000 hours, metal halide bulbs, considering that this technology is fairly inexpensive and readilyavailable in the market. However, a LED luminaire General Electric,

which has reduced consumption of 90 W, which has a lifespan of upto 60,000 hours, which can be costly though, reduces maintenancefactor and minimizes maintenance cost is added .

The luminaires have chosen a warm light, and have been placed lookingdisplay forms and reliefs of the facade, through contrasts and shadows, tomake it flashy oratory. The photometry is chosen according to the location ofthe bullets, the spectrum of light to help narrow the shadows.

This type of building has a high symbolic and according to the concept tofollow a sober lighting, which induce peace and serenity is required.

Realizing the economic analysis, it is observed that although the lights are

relatively expensive, have low maintenance factor and the costs of changingbulbs are inexpensive, compared to the initial investment of the luminaires.

Luminaires study should be dimmable electronic ballast that allows remotecontrol and timer in user-defined times, according to the initialrequirements. Savings up to 25% were found in annual consumption costs, reducing energy consumption by 50% for 5.5 hours in the morning.

Commercial floor recessed luminaires in our country meet the characteristicsof IP applied for IP 68 and IK 10.
