ORU’s LAST TIME OUT
The Oral Roberts women’s basketball team saved the best for last Monday evening, unleashing on a 10-0 run
in the ! nal minute and a half to pull out a thrilling 92-86 come-from-behind victory over Tulane in round two
of the WNIT.
Georgia Jones tossed in a season-best 22 points on 6-8 shooting from deep, including some clutch back-to-
back three balls in the ! nal minutes.
Kevi Luper added a team-high 29 points, seven boards and seven steals in the win.
The Golden Eagles fell behind by eight on three occasions in the ! rst half, and entered the break trailing 45-49
following a sloppy opening stanza that featured 30 combined turnovers.
Tulane seemed to hold the momentum for the better part of the second half as well, but just couldn’t quite
shake a Golden Eagle squad that had a knack for coming up with some big buckets that kept them within
striking distance.
Trailing by six (75-81) with just over four minutes to play, Jones lit the fuse on the Golden Eagle comeback,
calmly draining a pair of three’s that squelched a 9-2 Tulane scoring spree and brought ORU back to within a
possession.
Not going down without a ! ght, the guest Green Wave used a layup and a 1-2 e" ort at the freebie stitch to
build a four point lead with just 1:20 showing.
This time it was Jordan Pyle who brought the Golden Eagle fans to their feet, as the 6-1 forward wasted no
time sinking a fall away jumper at the other end to bring the hosts to within just two points (84-86) with 1:10
to go. ORU was back in business a short 14 seconds later, when a Tulane turnover gave the Golden Eagles the
possession and a chance to take the lead with time winding down.
With just 48 ticks to go, Pyle went 1-2 at the charity stripe, but the real momentum swing came when Luper

muscled in the o! ensive rebound and drew another Tulane foul on the put-back attempt.
The sure-shooting sophomore guard drained both free throws to put ORU in front 87-86 with 32 seconds to
go. Luper then put the exclamation point on the evening at the defensive end, when she dove for a loose
ball and forced a jump ball call with the possession arrow in ORU’s favor.
SCOUTING THE RAZORBACKS
The Golden Eagles face a familiar foe on Wednesday in the Arkansas Razorbacks. ORU traveled to Fayette-
ville on December 16, dropping a 63-80 decision to Arkansas in a game that featured Kevi Luper scoring 20
points and breaking the 1,000 point mark. At the time the Razorbacks were a blazing 10-0 in competition,
while ORU sat at 5-6 on the year.
Heading into the game, Arkansas now holds a 21-11 overall record, and " nished the SEC slate with a 6-10
mark. Arkansas enters the Mabee Center winners of three of their last six, including WNIT victories over
Lamar and Missouri State. They also won a 78-61 game over SIU Edwardsville following a loss to Florida in
the conference tourney.
The Razorbacks will be playing without Lyndsay Harris, who su! ered a knee injury in the SEC tournament.
Harris was averaging 12 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in 29 starts.
Arkansas is led by C’eira Ricketts, who posts14.2 points and 4.9 boards per game. The junior guard shoots
38% from the # oor and 67% from the free throw line.
As a team, Arkansas scores 64.7 points per game and holds their opponents to an average of 59.3. The
Razorbacks shoot 40% from the # oor and 32% from beyond the arc.
SERIES HISTORY
Arkansas holds a 14-8 lead over ORU in a series that dates all the way back to 1977. ORU won the " rst
three of the series from 77-79, but have dropped nine straight from 1988 through the last meeting on
December 16, 2010. The last time the Razorbacks visited the Mabee Center they dealt ORU an 89-52 setback
on 12/2/97. The last time ORU defeated in Arkansas in Tulsa was on 1/2/88 when they pulled out a 77-66
victory. Overall, ORU has earned a strong 6-2 mark over Arkansas at Mabee.
UNCHARTED WATERS
With wins over TCU and Tulane, the Golden Eagles have earned their " rst WNIT/NCAA tournament victories
of the Finkbeiner era, and the " rst WNIT wins since the women went 2-1 and grabbed a third place " nish in
the 1982-83 season. Even the 82-83 team lost their second round game 61-88 to Memphis, before respond-
ing with a 78-75 win over Weber State in the " nal round.
All-SUMMIT HONORS
Once again, the Summit League postseason awards were kind to ORU, as Kevi Luper earned Player of the
Year, Defensive Player of the Year and First Team honors, while Jaci Bigham was named First Team, Jordan
Pyle earned Second Team, Savanna Buck was named Sixth Woman of the Year and Jerry Finkbeiner earned
Coach of the Year.
ORU IN THE WNIT
The Golden Eagles enter only their third Women’s NIT in program history. ORU is now 4-2 in WNIT action,
with their best showing coming in 1983, when the team went 2-1 (3rd place) with victories over Hawaii

and Weber State and a loss to Memphis. The second appearance was just last season, when the
Summit League regular season champs stumbled 53-75 in round one at Missouri State. In Jerry
Finkbeiner’s 15 years at the helm of ORU basketball, the Golden Eagles have appeared in ve NCAA
and two WNIT tournaments.
SUPER CERGOL
ORU seems to have hit the jackpot with back-up guard Priscila Cergol. The 5-6 freshman was averag-
ing just over a minute a game for the lion’s share of the season, but an injury to Jaci Bigham forced
Cergol into the starting lineup against Centenary on 2/19. Cergol has exceeded expectations in her
new role, scoring eight points in each of her rst three games, before erupting with a 20 point,
seven assists outing against Western Illinois in the opening round of the Summit League Champion-
ships.
SINGLE SEASON STANDOUT
As only a sophomore, Kevi Luper has already posted the two best single season scoring performanc-
es in conference history. Luper stands at #1 in the Summit League with her 802 points this year. The
#2 spot also belongs to Luper, who turned in 757 points in only her freshman campaign.
PYLE PASSES 1,000
With a 20 point e! ort against IUPUI in the regular season nale, Jordan Pyle eclipsed the 1,000
point mark and became the eighth player in ORU history to join the 1,000 point, 500 rebound club.
NCAA FIRST
As of 3/22, Kevi Luper is rst in the NCAA with 24.3 ppg, and 3.8 steals per game. Luper is on the
verge of becoming the rst player ever to nish the season as the NCAA leader in both categories.
THE INJURY BUG
Already short-handed due to Georgia Jones coming down with the " u, ORU’s Jaci Bigham went
down with a torn ACL in the second half at Southern Utah. The following weekend, the Golden
Eagles posted a win over Centenary, despite missing Jordan Pyle with the " u.
YOU CAN’T WIN THEM ALL
With the loss to Southern Utah, ORU nally broke a program-best 13-0 conferene win streak. The
record also marked the second best start for any Summit team to begin league play since North
Illinois’ 18-0 start in 1993-94. The Golden Eagles had also won 18 straight regular season league
games dating back to last season, which is second to NIU’s 22 straight.
ORU’s 12 game overall win streak from 12/29/10 - 2/7/11 stands as 4th best in school history.
LUPER EARNS THIRD PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOD
Kevi Luper, collected her third award of the season and 10th of her career on 2/8/11 after guiding
the Golden Eagles to a pair of league wins last week. Luper scored 32 points and grabbed seven
rebounds in a win over North Dakota State, while shooting 67 percent (14-of-21) from the eld. She
followed that up with a 26-point, three-rebound and three-steal performance in the victory over
South Dakota State. For the week, Luper averaged 29 points, ve rebounds, three steals and one
assist per contest. She connected on 24-of-42 (57 percent) attempts from the eld, shot 75 percent
(6-of-8) from downtown and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line. Luper also moved into 10th
place in the Golden Eagle record book with 1,327 career points.

this season. Early on, Bigham sank a ! oater to give the Golden Eagles a last second win
over Western Illinois in December. Most recently, the sophomore guard scored eight points
in just over a minute, including the game winning free throws to lift ORU over IPFW on the
road. The following game, Jaci drained a tough overtime three that eventually propelled the
Golden Eagles over Oakland in two extra sessions.
DOUBLE DIGIT DANDY
With a career-low " ve point e# ort at Oklahoma State, Kevi Luper broke a streak of 42
straight double digit performances. It didn’t take long for the super soph to begin a new
streak however, as she chipped in 14 in a win versus IPFW on December 29. On her career,
Luper has scored double-digits in 61 of 63 games and currently stands tied for 7th place at
ORU in career double " gure games (6th is 62).
FINKBEINER FIRST in SUMMIT
With ORU’s win over Centenary on January 22, Jerry Finkbeiner became the league’s all-time
leader in overall victories (229). Finkbeiner surpassed Valparaiso’s Keith Freeman for the top
spot and also holds the No.1 spot for overall and league games coached. Finkbeiner needs
134 to tie Freeman for number one in league-only victories.
UNBEATEN ORU
With a 9-0 record as of January 22, the Golden Eagles " nished the " rst half of Summit
League play undefeated for the " rst time in program history. The defending Summit regu-
lar season champs are looking to claim the #1 seed in the Summit tourney for the second-
consecutive season.
LUPER EARNS SUMMIT HONORS ONCE AGAIN
Kevi Luper was named Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for her
performance during the week of Jan. 4-10.
Luper captures her second Player of the Week award this season and ninth of her career af-
ter leading Oral Roberts to its " rst-ever road sweep of North Dakota State and South Dakota
State this past weekend.
The guard poured in 28 points and had four steals at SDSU, before scoring 29 points, shoot-
ing 12-of-20, grabbing six rebounds and posting three steals at NDSU.
For the week, Luper averaged 28.5 points, four rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. On the
year, she is averaging 3.8 steals per game which ranks second in the country and is sixth
in points per game with 23.4. She also shot 50 percent (23-of-46) from the " eld and 78
percent (7-of-9) from the free throw line.
JOIN THE CLUB
In only her sophomore season, Kevi Luper has become only the sixth member of ORU’s 1,000
point 200 steal club. Luper passed the 1,000 point barrier on December 16 at Arkansas, and
snagged her 200th steal on January 8 at South Dakota State.

With a 20 point output against Arkansas, sophomore Kevi Luper joined ORU’s elite,1000
point club. Luper is the 16th Golden Eagle to score 1,000 or more. ORU’s all-time leading
score is Vivian Herron (‘85-’89) who logged 2,192 career points. Luper also posted four
steals against South Dakota State to be the 6th member of the 1,000 point, 200 steal club.

BIGHAM AMONG THE BEST
Jaci Bigham and North Dakota State’s Katie Birkel have both been named to the Nancy Lieberman
Award watch list. The award honors Division I’s top point guard and will take into account the oor
leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills that personi ed Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman
during her career. Sports writers from across the country nominate the nalists and will determine
the eventual winner. The Summit League is one of only three mid-major conferences to have more
than one player up for the award.
CONFERENCE OPENERS
The December 2nd contest at Western Illinois marks the conference opener for the Golden Eagles.
ORU is defending their rst-ever Summit League regular season title, and won last year’s confer-
ence opener 109-62 against Southern Utah in the Mabee Center. Under Coach Finkbeiner, ORU is
5-14 in the rst game of conference play dating back to 1996.
BIGHAM NAMED SUMMIT CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Oral Roberts’ Jaci Bigham and South Dakota State’s Kristin Rotert were named Summit League
Co-Players of the Week for their performances during the week of Nov. 23-29.
Bigham earns her fourth career Player of the Week honor after nearly missing a triple-double in
the four-point loss to undefeated Houston last week. The sophomore guard scored 22 points on
7-of-15 (47 percent) shooting and was 4-of-8 (50 percent) from behind the arc. She dished out
10 assists and grabbed nine rebounds in the game, while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the line
with two steals.
BREAKING THE HABIT
ORU’s ve game losing skid from November 16-27 marked the longest streak since the Golden
Eagles dropped six in a row in the 2001-02 season, when the Golden Eagles oundered in their
nal regular season contests from February 9-25. ORU rebounded from the six consecutive losses
to pull out a narrow 75-72 overtime win over Western Illinois in round one of the Mid-Continent
Tournament on March 2, 2002. Beyond that, ORU has not lost more than six straight since a 14

TOUGH SCHEDULE
The schedule hasn’t done ORU a lot of favors so far this season, as four of the Golden Eagles’ ! rst seven
games have come against a solid Big East squad in Villanova, and three (Harvard, Houston, Missouri
State) WNIT participants in 2010.
RUNNIN’ ON E
If the Golden Eagles looked tired in the November 22 loss to La Salle, it was with good reason. As the
! nal buzzer sounded, ORU had already competed in a Division I-high six games in ten days. It took
two days for two other teams (Baylor and South Dakota) to reach the six game mark, while most
teams have only competed in four contests thus far.
BIGHAM HONORED AT NAVY
Jaci Bigham was named to the Navy Classic All-Tournament Team after posting a pair of standout
performances against Harvard and Villanova.
Bigham led the way for ORU in both games, unleashing for 20 points on 5-10 shooting against
Harvard, before stu" ng the stat sheet with 14 points, four assists, ! ve steals and six rebounds in the
loss to Villanova.
On the weekend, Bigham combined for 34 points, nine rebounds, six assists and seven steals, while
shooting a perfect 10-10 from the free throw line.
TURNER SIDELINED FOR SEASON
An ACL tear that occurred midway through the second half of the Oral Roberts women’s basketball
contest against Tulsa this past Tuesday, has sidelined Cristal Turner for the remainder of the season.
The 6’2” junior forward from Maidstone, England had competed in the ! rst three games for the
Golden Eagles and was averaging 2.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and seven minutes per game.
“Losing Crystal for the year will be a big hit to our team,” noted head coach Jerry Finkbeiner. “Crystal is
a multidimensional player who ! lled a variety of roles for us on the # oor. Her talents will be missed in
our lineup, but we look forward to having her back to full speed in the spring.”
LUPER NAMED SUMMIT PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Sophomore guard Kevi Luper earned her seventh-career Player of the Week nod on November 16
after averaging 32 points per game and leading ORU to a pair of weekend wins over UT-Arlington and
North Texas.
Luper scored 28 points with ! ve steals in a 110-58 win over UT-Arlington and then tallied a 36-point,
! ve-rebound and four-steal performance vs. North Texas.
The Golden Eagles also set a school record with 120 points in the win over the Mean Green.
The Summit League Preseason Player of the Year averaged 4.5 steals, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists for
the week. She also shot 56 percent (22-of-39) from the ! eld, was a perfect 7-of-7 from behind the arc
and shot 93 percent (13-of-14) from the charity stripe.
A RECORD BREAKING AFTERNOON
The North Texas game saw more than just the team scoring record fall, three Golden Eagles also set
some new career highs on the afternoon. By the time the smoke had cleared, Kevi Luper notched a
career-high six made three’s, breaking her former record of ! ve in a game. Jordan Pyle set a career-
best record with 15 rebounds, eclipsing her previous mark of 13. Dominique Allen scored nine points
on four made ! eld goals, breaking her previous mark of seven and three.

ECLIPSING THE CENTURY MARK
The ORU women are " lling up the bucket in impressive fashion so far this year. The 110 point eruption on
Friday marked the " rst time in program history the ladies have scored 100+ points in a season opener.
The encore turned out to be a wild 120 point decision two days later. Over the " rst two games of the year,
the ladies combined for 230 points and posted back-to-back 100+ point games for only the second time
in program history. You don’t have to look very far back into the record books to " nd the " rst time, as
Finkbeiner’s run n’ gun squad scored 107 against Houston Baptist on 11/28/09 and followed it up with a
101 point win over Sam Houston State on 11/30/09.
HIGH EXPECTATIONS
After winning the regular season title last season, ORU has been selected by league coaches, SIDs and
media as the preseason favorite to win the 2010-11 Summit League Women’s Basketball Championship.
The Golden Eagles placed three players on the preseason all-league teams and collected all but four " rst-
place votes. In Kevi Luper, the Golden Eagles return one of the most proli" c sophomores in the country.
Luper was the " rst player in league history to win the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and
Newcomer of the Year awards in the same season, along with setting or matching three Summit League
records. She was honored as an AP Honorable Mention All-American and was named the Preseason Player
of the Year this season. Luper (24.6 ppg), along with classmate Jaci Bigham (17.4 ppg), made up the high-
est scoring backcourt tandem in the country last season.
MID MAJOR TOP-25
Following an impressive 2009-10 campaign and ready to begin making their mark on a national scale,
the Golden Eagles opened the season slotted 19th in the Collegeinsider.com preseason poll. This is the
" rst season for the CollegeInsider.com women’s poll, which will be comprised of teams from America
East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro
Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland,
Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt and West Coast Conference. The poll will be administered by the Atlantic
Sun Conference, and will be released every Tuesday throughout the 2010-11 season.
LUPER NAMED PRESEASON ALL AMERICAN
Oral Roberts sophomore Kevi Luper has been named to The Sporting News’ Preseason All-America
Third Team in its college basketball preview issue on newstands now. Luper was one of 30 student-
athletes to be named a preseason All-American, and only one of six sophomores to earn the honor
after a spectacular freshman campaign that saw the Adair, Okla., native shatter The Summit League
single-season scoring record with 757 points.
DID YOU KNOW
At the conclusion of 2009-10, Kevi Luper ranked second among freshman in NCAA Division I history in total
steals in a season (134) and fourth in total points (757).
THE FABULOUS FINKBEINER
With last seasons brilliant performance, Head Coach Jerry Finkbeiner established himself as one of the
top coaches in the NCAA. Heading into 2010-11, Finkbeiner holds a career record of 431-220 (.662), good
enough for 44th on the list of active NCAA Division I coaches. As a Golden Eagle, Finkbeiner has posted
four 20+ win seasons, has notched over twice as many wins as any previous ORU coach and has led the
ladies to eight postseason playo! berths (5 NCAA, 3 WNIT).

ABOUT THE SUMMIT LEAGUE
The Summit League is in its 28th season as an NCAA Division
I athletics league. Formerly known as the Mid-Continent
Conference, the league has produced several All-Americans,
Olympians, professional athletes, individual national
champions and scholarathletes through its history. Last
season the league had an unprecendented three nation-
ally-ranked teams: North Dakota State softball, South
Dakota State women’s basketball and Oakland men’s soccer.
Since its inception in 1982, The Summit League has had
several transcendent moments on the national stage
including a pair of NCAA Men’s Basketball “Sweet 16”
runs by Cleveland State (1986) and Valparaiso (1998)
and four NCAA track champions, most recently Oral
Roberts’ Andretti Bain in 2008. Two of the league’s most
notable professional athletes were a pair of twotime
All-Stars in Kevin Duckworth (NBA) and Kevin Seitzer (MLB).
