atsomeofthemostprestigiousandinterestingcompaniesandinstitutionsintheworld.This

organizationdoeseverythingfromfilesystemengineeringforprojectsatLLNL(NuclearIgnition
Facility)tovideoandaudioarchivingatthelibraryofcongress.Theycurrentlydesignand
developverylowlatencystorageandthesoftwarethatprotects,transportsandmanagesdata
andinformation.Aninterninthisorganizationwouldspendtimeoneachofthemajorprojects
contributingtodiscussions,designsanddevelopment,testingaswellascustomerinteractions.Withlocationsaroundtheworld,theidealinternwouldbeworkinginafastpacedanddynamic
environment.Relevanttechnologiesinclude:ZFS,QFS,SAM,EncryptionandKeyManagement,
Mobilitycomputing,highperformance/lowlatencystorage,problemsolving,digital
communications,networking,backupandarchivingaswellassystemtestandassembly.
Design,develop,troubleshootanddebugtestsforsoftwareprogramsforapplications,tools,
storage,etc.Dutiesandtasksarestandardwithsomevariation;displaysunderstandingof
roles,processesandprocedures.PerformsModeratelycomplexproblemsolvingwith
assistanceandguidance.

installingandconfiguringtestsystems executingtests testautomation
trackingandreportingtestmetrics triagingfailingtests
openingbugreports assistinginfindingtherootcauseoffailures

officer,andanyspecialtytheworkscloselywithtechnologyandtroubleshooting.(Probablynot
awheeledvehiclemechanic).Collegedegreepreferred;technicaldegreeisveryhelpful.
