• Paying for sales orders with a credit card is a common practice across industries• Oracle Order Management Cloud now integrates with Oracle Fusion Payments to

determine if the item qualifies for a trade agreement (e.g., USA-Mexico-Canada trade agreement)

• This enables you to save duty on intercompany transfers and help yourcustomers reduce their own duty payments when buying your products.

• Feature• When dealing with goods that are under lot control, there are numerous

events that might require you to break, combine, or transform some or all ofthe goods in a specific lot.

• Now you can perform lot split, merge, and translate actions using REST andfile-based data import (FBDI) in support of PaaS and/or mobile partnersupport requirements.

• Benefits• Improved inventory accuracy• Improved order fulfillment

• Note: UI-based support will be coming in the future.

• Feature• When you regularly order the same item from multiple suppliers or

distributors, that item’s manufacturer part number might be the only easy andconsistent way to identify goods.

• Now, you can view the manufacturer name and associated manufacturer partnumber as separate columns when creating ASNs or ASBNS, receiving goodsand putting them away, or managing existing receipts.

• Benefit• Improved user experience• Improved process efficiency for receiving goods

• Feature• Unforeseen emergencies or natural disasters can generate demand spikes that

quickly drive your on-hand quantities well below what's required to meet demand, or possibly even down to zero.

• When this happens, you need a way to reserve supply manually for priority orders before releasing the order to your warehouse.

• Now, on the Manage Reservations and Picks page, you can manually reserve supply before the sales order is released to the warehouse for shipping.

Dual Unit of measure supports the tracking of a product simultaneous in two distinct units of measure that are not exactly convertible – for example a product is stocked by count in cases, but costed by weight in pounds.

You can now report materials and products in dual UOMs through discrete and process manufacturing transactions that update on-hand inventory and lot genealogy.

As a result, you can better track the variability inherent in materials and products for improved inventory visibility and costing accuracy, based on the actual quantity instead of the standard quantity in catchweight and other manufacturing industries.

Today you can enforce the inspection of 100% of the consecutive units produced while completing a manufacturing work order operation. However, once a manufacturer has produced a number of units with consistent good quality, they may not be able to test every product due to high volume production or the cost and cycle time of inspection.

With this feature, you can now select representative samples out of a discrete or process manufacturing work order operation quantity to determine the quality of a non-serialized work in process (WIP). To enforce inline WIP sampling, you can associate a sampling-enabled inspection level based on a percentage of the quantity produced, a fixed count of samples, or based on the statistical standards for Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) with a mandatory WIP inspection plan.

WIP sampling combined with flexible WIP inspection levels help manufacturers reduce the cost and scope of inspection to reach reliable conclusions about their product quality.

A Deep Link allows a function within a Fusion Applications to be called directly by an outside function or service, bypassing intermediate navigation. In this update, Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud delivers new deep links to edit a manufacturing work definition, work order, production exception, or resource and view an inspection plan and inspection results. You can use these links in a variety of ways, such as in business intelligence reports, custom pages or tabs in the UI using Application Composer, and third-party application pages.

In Field Service, you can now capture more detailed cost information about resources used to perform the service. For Depot Repair, you can now capture more detailed charge information for both labor and non-labor activities. Also, you can now charge for outside processing.

Now the Supply Chain Planning area – which includes Supply Planning, Demand Management, Sales & Operations Planning and Supply Chain Collaboration & Visibility. Here the big news is the delivery of the New Product Scheduling Cloud solution – included as part of Supply Planning

Cloud Production Scheduling supports the critical manufacturing process of maximizing factory throughput and asset utilization for discrete industries.

It utilizes the latest Cloud Manufacturing information such as on work orders and resource availability, allowing you to generate schedules quickly and, on-demand. Schedules are ever dynamic and can be fine tuned manually, factoring in outages and breakdowns as they occur, enabling a proactive shop floor.

Production scheduling capability is delivered as a part of Cloud Supply Planning to operationalize tactical planning decisions. It does so by sequencing factory work orders optimally and feasibly, considering all supplies and demands simultaneously, reducing time lost to changeovers and yielding the best capacity gains. You can execute your factory schedules with confidence to meet customer demand on time as best as possible.

Cloud Production Scheduling creates finite schedules respecting material and resource capacity constraints and, time constraints, such as shifts and holidays. Customer defined attributes for scheduling are flexibly supported. Attribute-based changeover rules can be defined to derive efficient sequencing, minimizing changeover time. Also, user defined attribute sequences are honored, giving schedulers control on how to schedule production lines.

Schedules can be intuitively managed. The scheduler can fine tune schedules in-line through interactive Gantt charts with drag and drop features and editable dispatch lists. Schedule performance can be monitored through real-time analytics on late orders, changeover time and utilization of equipment and labor. Schedules can be conveniently displayed as needed, pivoting on attributes, products, late orders and other criteria. This helps to quickly identify issues and take appropriate resequencing decisions easily before readying the schedule for release.

Real-time work order synchronization with Cloud Manufacturing helps to execute seamlessly, significantly improving the speed of factory activity.

Auditing is used to monitor user activity and all data changes pertaining to creating, modifying or removing business objects. To view an audit of changes made against a specific Quality Issue or Quality Action historically required a number of steps to generate an audit report. The new side panel view of Audit Details provides instant access to the audit details for attributes which have been configured for inclusion through the common audit framework.

The Comments side panel provides an easily accessible, consolidated and uncluttered view of all the user comments for the specific quality issue or quality action.The Comments side panel improves collaboration by providing stakeholders with quick access to provide or request clarification, root cause analysis or identify additional tasks.
