Oracle 11g Isn't supported for Beehive yet
There is a metalink note on how to patch 11g to make it compatible.
Oracle 10.2.0.3 is the officially supported version
There are about 15 patches to apply on top of 10.2.0.3
Oracle 10.2.0.4 had most of these bugs fixed.

Install Oracle
Extract the download to your drive and install oracle. You may need to skip (user verify) some of the prerequisite checks.
My directory structure is as follows:
[jer@jerlaptop oracle]$ du -h --max-depth=1
22M ./oraInventory
8.7G ./OraHome10g
1.3G ./beeinstall
2.9G ./beehive131
751M ./beekeeper131
2.3G ./beezimbra
16G .
After you install Oracle 10.2.0.1 do the patch to 10.2.0.4 before you create the database! That way you won't have to migrate the database too!

Oracle Beekeeper Overview
Beekeeper provides a web based management interface to manage resources within Beehive. If you had to deal with beectl all day, you'd know why this was so important!
Beectl is not your friend.
Beekeeper is... sometimes.

Advantages of Beehive over OCS:
Web GUI is based on an open source, well established project.
Web Service exposure to the Beehive components... makes coding customized portals much easier.
Ability to add custom plugins to the services (antivirus for email, etc)
Advantages of OCS over Beehive:
Web GUI links to ALL components of OCS (Storage, Files, Conferencing)
There is a clear and distinct entry portal for end users, without the need for additional architecture work.
Web Conferencing actually ships as a core part of the product, rather than something to be added later.

Oracle's To Do for Beehive:
It doesn't appear to have a web-based gui for workspaces
Allow manual overrides for prerequisite checks like the OUI does with Database 10g and 11g installs
Visual diagrams inside documentation would make Active Directory integration MUCH easier
Sort out user listing in Beekeeper so it returns the appropriate result set
Bring back web conferencing on port 80 please!
Oracle Beehive Release 1
Thank you!
