What are my options ..... what should I do?

Study at a partner university in Germany or Austria via the Erasmus+ scheme (1 or 2 Semesters) ....

... teach as an ELA (English Language Assistant) at a German or Austrian school via the British Council ...

... take a work placement, usually in conjunction with one semester at a university

- students wanting to go to Berl in , Cologne or Munich have to commit to the whole year, i .e . they wi l l not be a l lowed to go on a work placement in the second half o f the YA

- Ger/Bus students normal ly choose a univers i ty p lacement in the fi rst hal f and a work placement in the 2nd half o f the YA

- Forms have to be returned by 4th December 2015

- We will contact the universities in Germany/Austria

- The formal registration process will take place in the spring (via the International Off ice)

British Council Assistantships

Online application process to the British Council during the Autumn term.

Applications are competitive, a very tight timeline.

By Spring 2016, successful candidates informed: rejections and waiting lists.

Teach up to 12 hours per week, conversation.Salary , health insurance, plus Erasmus status

and money.Help with accommodation/ Betreuungslehrer/in.Apply by preference to Bundesland – all areas.
