(“PIONEER”).PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDI-TIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BE-FORE USING THE SOFTWARE INSTALLED ONTHE PIONEER PRODUCTS. You shall not loan, rent, disclose,publish, sell, assign, lease, sublicense, marketor otherwise transfer the Software or use it inany manner not expressly authorized by thisagreement. other means. 4 EXPORT LAWASSURANCESYou agree and certify that neither the Softwarenor any other technical data received fromPioneer, nor the direct product thereof, will beexported outside the United States except asauthorized and as permitted by the laws and

regulations of the United States. If the Soft-ware has been rightfully obtained by you out-side of the United States, you agree that youwill not re-export the Software nor any othertechnical data received from Pioneer, nor thedirect product thereof, except as permitted bythe laws and regulations of the United Statesand the laws and regulations of the jurisdic-tion in which you obtained the Software.

5 TERMINATIONThis Agreement is effective until terminated.You may terminate it at any time by destroyingthe Software. The Agreement also will termi-nate if you do not comply with any terms orconditions of this Agreement. Upon such ter-mination, you agree to destroy the Software.

6 U.S. GOVERNMENT END USERSIf the Software is being acquired by or on be-half of the United States government or anyother entity seeking or applying rights similarto those customarily claimed by the UnitedStates government, the Data is licensed with“Limited Rights”. Utilization of the Software issubject to the restrictions specified in the“Rights in Technical Data” clause at DFARS252.227-7013, or the equivalent clause for non-defense agencies. 7 MISCELLANEOUSThis is the entire Agreement between Pioneerand you regarding its subject matter. Nochange in this Agreement shall be effectiveunless agreed to in writing by Pioneer. Pioneerretailers do not have the authority to changethis Agreement. This Agreement shall be gov-erned by and construed in accordance withthe internal laws of the State of California. Ifany provision of this Agreement is declared in-valid or unenforceable, the remaining provi-sions of this Agreement shall remain in fullforce and effect.

6 MISCELLANEOUSThis is the entire Agreement between Pioneerand you regarding its subject matter. Nochange in this Agreement shall be effectiveunless agreed to in writing by Pioneer. Pioneerretailers do not have the authority to changethis Agreement. This Agreement shall be gov-erned by and construed in accordance withthe internal laws of the Province of Ontarioand the federal laws of Canada applicabletherein. If any provision of this Agreement isdeclared invalid or unenforceable, the remain-ing provisions of this Agreement shall remainin full force and effect.

TERMS AND CONDITIONSFOR THE TELE ATLAS DATAEnd User Licensing TermsTHIS IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT (THE “AGREE-MENT”) BETWEEN YOU, THE END USER, ANDPIONEER and its licensors of Data product(sometimes collectively “Licensors”). BYUSING YOUR COPY OF THE LICENSED DATA,YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDI-TIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.

1 Grant of License.Licensors grant you a non-transferable, nonex-clusive license to use the map data and busi-ness points of interest information (the “POIs”)owned by Tele Atlas, (together, the “Data”) con-tained on these discs, solely for personal, non-commercial use and not to operate a servicebureau or for any other use involving the pro-cessing of data of other persons or entities.You may not copy, reproduce, modify, makederivative works, derive the structure of or re-verse engineer the Data. The Data is restrictedfor use with the PIONEER Product(s). TheData contains confidential and proprietary in-formation and materials, and may containtrade secrets, so you agree to hold the Data inconfidence and in trust and not to disclose theData or any portions in any form, including byrenting, leasing, publishing, leasing, sublicen-sing or transferring the Data to any third party.You are explicitly prohibited from downloadingthe digital maps and programmes containedin the Data or from transferring these to an-other data carrier or computer. You are prohib-ited from removing or obscuring anycopyright, trademark notice or restricted le-gend.

2 Ownership.The Data is copyrighted by Tele Atlas and its Li-censors and they retain all ownership rights inthe Data. You agree not to alter, remove, oblit-erate, or obscure any copyright notice or pro-prietary legend contained in or on the Data.

3 Limitation of Liability.TELE ATLAS, PIONEER AND THEIR SUPPLI-ERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO ANY ENDUSERS FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUEN-TIAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR EXEMPLARYDAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREE-MENT, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR COSTSOF COVER, LOSS OF USE OR BUSINESS IN-TERRUPTION OR THE LIKE, REGARDLESS OFWHETHER THE PARTY WAS ADVISED OF THEPOSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CON-TRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, TELE ATLASAND PIONEER AND THEIR SUPPLIERSSHALL HAVE NO MONETARY LIABILITY TOANY END USERS FOR ANY CAUSE (REGARD-LESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION) UNDER ORRELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT.

4 Warranty Disclaimer.THE DATA IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND“WITH ALL FAULTS BASIS” AND TELE ATLAS,PIONEER, ITS LICENSORS, AND ITS LI-CENSED DISTRIBUTORS AND SUPPLIERS(COLLECTIVELY, “SUPPLIERS”) EXPRESSLYDISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EX-PRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOTLIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OFNON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, EF-FECTIVENESS, COMPLETENESS, ACCURACY,TITLE AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PUR-POSE. 5 Termination.This Agreement will terminate immediatelyand automatically, without notice, if youbreach any term of this Agreement. You agreethat in the event of termination of the Agree-ment, you shall return the Data (including alldocumentation and all copies) to PIONEERand its suppliers.

6 Indemnity.You agree to indemnify, defend and holdPIONEER, its Licensors, and its suppliers (in-cluding their respective licensors, suppliers,assignees, subsidiaries, affiliated companies,and the respective officers, directors, employ-ees, shareholders, agents and representatives)free and harmless from and against any liabili-ty, loss, injury (including injuries resulting indeath), demand, action, cost, expense, orclaim of any kind or character, including butnot limited to attorney’s fees, arising out of orin connection with any breach by you of anyterm of this Agreement.

7 U.S. GOVERNMENT RIGHTS.If End User is an agency, department, or otherentity of the United States Government, orfunded in whole or in part by the United StatesGovernment, then use, duplication, reproduc-tion, release, modification, disclosure or trans-fer of this commercial product andaccompanying documentation, is restricted inaccordance with the LIMITED or RESTRICTEDrights as described in any applicable DFARSor FAR. In case of conflict between any of theFAR and/or DFARS that may apply to the Li-censed Tele Atlas Product, the constructionthat provides greater limitations on the Gov-ernment’s rights shall control. 8 Additional provisions for Tele Atlas®

Premium Points of Interest (the “POIs”).With respect to the POI Licensed Tele AtlasProducts:End User specifically agrees that End Usershall not:(a) except as otherwise specifically set forthherein, license or otherwise provide the POI Li-censed Tele Atlas Products to any third partyfor the purposes of resale, sublicensing, redis-tribution or for the purpose of compiling, en-hancing, verifying, supplementing, adding toor deleting from any mailing list, geographicor trade directories, business directories, clas-sified directories, classified advertising whichis sold, rented, published, furnished or in anymanner provided to a third party;(b) make the POI Licensed Tele Atlas Productsavailable in an on-line environment unlessproperly secured and/or encrypted to preventunauthorized access to the POI Licensed TeleAtlas Products; and(c) use the POI Licensed Tele Atlas Products,either in whole or in part, as a factor in (i) es-tablishing an individual’s eligibility for creditor insurance; (ii) connection with underwritingindividual insurance; (iii) evaluating an indivi-dual for employment or promotions, reassign-ment or retention as an employee; (iv) inconnection with a determination of an indivi-dual’s eligibility for a license or other benefitgranted by a governmental authority; or (v) forsoliciting survivors of deceased persons.(d) create mailing or telemarketing lists unlessauthorized in this Agreement.(e) End User will house the POI Licensed TeleAtlas Products on the Internet behind firewallsand will implement a system of controls thatwill (i) protect the integrity of the POI LicensedTele Atlas Products; (ii) control access to thePOI Licensed Tele Atlas Products and (iii) pre-vent unauthorized usage or copying of the POILicensed Tele Atlas Products.

(f) End User shall display the POI LicensedTele Atlas Product copyright notice at all timesin conjunction with the Tele Atlas copyrightnotice. As of the Effective Date of this Agree-ment, the copyright notice for the POI Li-censed Tele Atlas Product is:

Brand Icon Licensed Tele Atlas Product (the“Brand Icon Licensed Tele Atlas Product”):

a End User's use of the Brand Icon LicensedTele Atlas Product and any portion thereof,is limited to use solely for the purpose of en-hancing the value and/or use of the spatialvector data furnished or made by Tele Atlas.Notwithstanding anything to the contraryherein, or in any attachment or exhibit here-to, in no event shall End User use theBrand Icon Licensed Tele Atlas Product orany portion thereof in connection with or inconjunction with spatial street vector datafurnished or made by a party other thanTele Atlas. End User may only use theicons, brand names, logos, trademarks orother features within (and not separatefrom) the map data. In addition, End Usershall not modify or alter the color, shape,size, and orientation of the Brand Icon Li-censed Tele Atlas Product as provided toEnd User without Tele Atlas’s prior writtenapproval.

11 Miscellaneous.This is the exclusive and complete Agreementbetween the Licensors and you regarding itssubject matter. Nothing in this Agreementshall create a joint venture, partnership orprincipal-agent relationship between the Li-censors and you. The internal laws of the Stateof California shall govern this Agreement andyou consent to the jurisdiction of California.Sections 2, 5 and 6 - 10 shall survive the ex-piration or termination of this Agreement. ThisAgreement may be amended, altered, or modi-fied only by PIONEER. You may not assign anypart of this Agreement without PIONEER’sprior written consent. You acknowledge andunderstand that the Data may be subject to re-strictions on exportation and agree to complywith any applicable export laws. Failure to operate! Should the navigation system fail to oper-

ate properly, contact your dealer or nearestauthorized Pioneer Service Station.

! Do not lose the supplied Media Number(MEDIA NUMBER). If the Media Number islost, reissue of the Media Number is notpossible. Also you must submit the MediaNumber when repairs are needed. The cardis necessary as proof of authenticity if ser-vice is required (including recovery).

Notes before using the system

Be sure to upgrade your navigation systemfirst.

Checking the device numberFirst, check your device number(DEVICE NUMBER, displayed such asDevice# or Device Number) of your navigationsystem for later procedures. To display the de-vice number, do the following.

1 Touch [Home] on the map screen.The “Top Menu” screen appears.

= For details of the operation, refer to the Op-eration Manual supplied with your naviga-tion system.

2 Touch [Settings].The “Settings Menu” screen appears.

3 Touch [Service Info].

4 Write down the device number dis-played on the screen to avoid mistakes.

5 Turn off the vehicle engine to termi-nate the system.The navigation system is also turned off.

Getting the password forauthenticationFor authentication, a unique password issuedonline is necessary. Access the website withyour PC and get your password. The followinginformation is required.! Media Number (MEDIA NUMBER)! Device Number (DEVICE NUMBER) of your

Copying POI data to an SDmemory card

! An empty SD memory card of at least 2 GBshould be used.

! Be sure to use an SD memory card with thewrite-protect switch unlocked. If the copieddata is altered, whether intentionally or not,the SD memory card may not work prop-erly.

Copy the POI data stored on the accompany-ing disc to the SD memory card.

For Windows users1 Boot your PC and insert the accompa-nying disc.

2 Insert the SD memory card into yourPC.

3 Copy the POI data stored on the disc tothe SD memory card.

p You need to copy all files on the disc so thatthe POI data structure is maintained on theSD memory card.

4 Display the copied folder on the SDmemory card.

5 Double-click CheckMd5.dat in thefolder.The checking dialog appears.

1 Park your vehicle in a safe place andapply the parking brake.

2 Insert the SD memory card into the SDcard slot while the navigation system is ac-tivated.After a short pause, the keyboard for enteringthe password will appear.

3 Enter the password for authenticationthat you obtained, then touch [OK].

After you touch [OK], the system starts theauthentication. When the authentication is fin-ished properly, a message for confirmationwill appear.

4 Touch [OK].

The navigation system restarts.You can operate the navigation system bytouching keys displayed on the screen asusual.

Checking whether theactivation was doneproperly1 Touch [Home] on the map screen andthen touch [Navigation].

2 Touch [POI].The “POI Search” screen appears.

3 Touch [Near Me].Following POI categories increase if the activa-tion has done properly.Finance, Food Shop, Service

Regional identification is failed. Theregional data in the SD memorycard does not match with the regio-nal data of the map that is currentlyinstalled in the navigation system.

Authentication failed The data content copied to the SDmemory card currently used is asso-ciated with another product. There-fore, the card cannot be used withthe navigation system other thanthe associated one.

Use the data copied to the SD memory cardtogether with the navigation system that hasnot been associated with the same product.

Cannot be used with this ver-sion

The map version (map generation)in the data copied to the SD mem-ory card does not match the versionof the map data currently installedin the navigation system.
