Alarm SnoozingVersion 11.50 offers the Alarm Snoozing feature to abate nuisances caused by bouncing alarms. By enacting the Snooze Alarm feature, an Optima user can head off the need to repeatedly re-acknowledge and re-clear bouncing alarms.
The Alarm Snoozing feature is activated from an Actions menu item in Event View, button at the bottom of the alarm’s Event Information window, or a right-click option when hovering over the alarm row in Event View. A popup dialog lets the user configure the duration of the snooze period at 1, 2 or 3 hours.
When the Alarm Snoozing feature is active, the snoozing alarm will not accept any state changes, and users will not be able to acknowledge or clear the alarm. The alarm’s Status is listed as “Snoozed.” All of the “Snooze” menu items and buttons toggle to “Unsnooze.” The alarm’s Event Information window adds “Snoozed Event Information” including the snooze end time.
The snooze expires at the end of the configured duration. or when the user clicks an Unsnooze command. At that point, the alarm status reverts to the Pending state, and the user is able to Acknowledge or Clear the alarm.

The field below “Remedy from vendor” is a read-only remedy from the OEM supplied by the customer.
The two fields on the bottom identify the model of the device giving rise to the alarm and the family of that model. Users can add or edit information in both of those fields -- notes based on practical experience in undertaking the fix, for example. The user needs to have the edit-event permission level to edit these fields. The user clicks the edit icon to open these fields for editing. When either field is open for editing, the edit icon is replaced by two other icons . The user clicks the X to cancel the edit or the checkmark to save the edit.
