CP RAJU CP Raju serves in India, particularly in the Tel-angana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha states. CP provides project management in the areas of maternal and infant mortality, malnutrition, literacy, girls empowerment, leadership devel-opment, HIV and AIDS, and skills develop-ment. He has a heart for the tribal groups we work with in India. In particular, he requests prayer for the following: -Pray for the Kui people and the continuing needs for their programs -Pray that churches in India will understand the true meaning of integral mission and fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ -Pray that the tribal people we serve would have equal opportunities and a dignified life.
INDIA TRIP This month, John Chan will be departing for his first trip to India in his role as CBM’s Director of International Partnerships at CBM. John, who will be in India from January 15 to 24, will be meeting with local partners to learn more about our work in the region and to strengthen our relationships. John will also visit projects sup-ported by Canadian churches, including the Kui Girls Hostel, literacy centres, the Soura Widows Empowerment project, and theological training centres. Please pray for John’s health and strength as he maintains a busy schedule while travelling in India. Also, please pray for God’s wisdom and guidance for the year ahead as we continue to serve children and families in need.
SUMMIT 2018 The Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada will be hosting Summit 2018 in Halifax from Janu-ary 16 to 17. The annual gathering is an oppor-tunity for paid, professional children’s pastors, youth pastors and camp directors in the CBAC to get together and share their experiences. Adrian Gardner, CBM’s Discipleship Programs Facilitator, and Louise Knowles, CBM’s repre-sentative for Youth and Young Adult Engage-ment, will be highlighting the work and ministry of CBM at the Summit. Please pray for them as they seek opportunities to better engage with youth groups – in both local and international contexts. May this gathering be a fruitful and
refreshing time for all in attendance.
