Design Features
Faultless operating of the fibers requires a proper protection against mechanical and thermal stress.
nkt manufacturers tubes from seamless welded stainless steel which protect the fibers
against various mechanical impacts, moisture and heat.
They are placed as a loose buffer in the center or in the first layers of the cable.
The fibers are embedded with a defined over length and space for movement in a special heat resistant and moisture repellent gel, to withstand bending, vibration, elongation and temperature variation.
