CV• Flexible Pipe Exchange– Older style pipes are failing rain in

USA15– Campaign to replace has begun– Last units will have to be addressed

• Rack Humidity Sensor Assessment– Some units appear to be giving incorrect (high) values– Under investigation by Joel and Piotr

• Improved control of underground temperature/humidity levels– Summer was difficult, high temps and high humidity– Current system rated to 32C, saw many days >32C– Dehumidification affects temperature, primarily in gas room

EL• UPS supply to various racks (~6), to be done when

loss of power won’t affect IBL (Wieslaw)– 4x AFP, 1 BCM, 1 Alfa

• Powering + monitoring of 2 racks in SR1 (Wieslaw)– 1 AFP, 1 Alfa

• Voltage sensor integration into DCS Electricity Panel (Wieslaw and DCS)

• Upgrade of primary switchboards EXD1/15X and EXD2/15X in UX15, motorized breaker remotely controlled contactor (EN-EL and Wieslaw)

• Installation of new column in EQD2/1H to accommodate new breakers for air dryer (EN-EL)

Computing• Request for bids to replace ACR nodes sent out in

latter part of LS1– No acceptable offers received

• SysAdmins are again asking for bids to attempt to meet a timeline of– Purchase finalized by end of year– Installation and commissioning completed by end of

Other Matters• Expert System– Software system providing graphical overview of dependencies

from source (primary electrical supply, primary cooling) through lower level supplies to final detector/electronics elements

– Prospective manager of project has declined, need another candidate

• Test bed to simulate USA15 environment– Currently testing has to be done in our production environment,

USA15– Preferable to separate testing/prototyping from production

activities– Considering equipping SR1 counting room with appropriate

infrastructure to allow testing/prototyping to be carried out there.
