• As of June 2019, a total of 935 applications (2,172 persons) have been received, 997 applications (2,321 persons) have been approved

and 1,816 persons have landed in Canada.

• As we anticipate to fall short in admissions in other categories, AIPP is being used as a mitigation valve to aid in reaching our overall

admissions target. In June 2019, this category has achieved 91% of its admission target at 50% of the year.

End-to-end processing time is calculated from the applications received from the Principal Applicant to the latest finalized date from all related applicants (i.e. Including overseas dependants) and should read as “80% of the cases were finalized in the last 12 months were finalized within X months or less from the received date.”

• As of June 2019, 237 applications

(496 persons) were received under

the High Medical Needs (HMN) cap

and 2,214 applications (4,411

persons) were received under the

Caring for Children (CG) cap.

• In 2019 so far, 642 applications

(1,112 persons) have been

approved and 162 applications (316

persons) were refused, for a total of

804 applications (1,428 persons)

finalized for Caregiver Ministerial

Instructions.

• 80% of Caregiver applications

received between October 1, 2017

and June 30, 2018 were finalized

within the 12 month commitment.

• The Interim Pathway for Caregivers

is a short-term, 3-month economic

pathway for caregivers who come to

Canada, and who may expect to

qualify for permanent residence, but

who do not qualify under existing

caregiver pathways. This public

policy came into effect on March 4,

2019 and expired on June 4, 2019.

It has now been extended to

September 4, 2019.

• The moment in the year at which PGP applications are received

varies every year due to the different periods of when invitation

to apply are being sent. The last round of invitation to apply was

sent at the end of April 2019, which explains why only 1,784

applications have been received so far. More applications will

be received shortly.

• As of the end of June 2019, there has been 13,264 admissions,

which represents 65% of the target at 50% of the year.

• Compared to previous years at this point of the year, the

approval rate for Supervisa has decreased from 81% to 77%.

• In June 2019, the monthly Temporary Resident Visa

(TRV) processing time is 18 days.

• The YTD overall TRV processing time is 21 days.

• TRV processing times since the beginning of the year

are above the 2 weeks (14 days) service standard in

most offices with high volumes of TR intake.

• Intake for China is lower this year compared to 2018 due

to a backlog clear out of the December intake spike prior

to biometric requirements.

• 20,395 individuals became new citizens in June 2019. This is a 68% increase over the same period last year.

• The overall processing time has remained at 13 months.

• As of June 30th, IRCC made a total of 64,290 grant decisions for the fiscal year 2019/20, which is a 39% increase

over the same period last year and has achieved 27% of the fiscal year target of 235,000 at 25% of the fiscal year.

• Bill C-6 came into force on October 11, 2017 and a surge in grant application intake was observed in the

subsequent months. The inventory level has remained steady since the beginning of the year. As of June 30th,

there was 200,886 grant applications in the inventory.

• The number of post C-6 grant applications account for 98% of the current inventory. 58% of the inventory is older

than 6 months and 42% is 9 months and older.

• The distribution of the inventory by domestic region is similar to that in previous months. 18% of the total inventory is

in or destined for Eastern Area, 38% for Greater Toronto Area, 12% for Greater Ontario Area and 31% for the

Western Area.
