Section 1 Warnings and Cautions

Ignoring the following warnings could cause serious injuries or even fatalaccidents.

Check and connect properly -the voltage, phase and capacity of powersupply on the ID plate before installation.

Power supply must be properly grounded. Abnormal grounded connectioncauses serious damage. Grounded connection must not be on the water pipeand gas pipe.

Use correct and provided power code. Power cord: Wall outlet withgrounded terminal power cord 250V 7A.

Do not install the product in a place that the gas could leak out. Do notuse in a place that has the industrial oil smoke and the metallic dust. Itcauses fire or electric shock. Do not use the machine near to places wherean explosion could happen due to organic evaporating gases. Explosive materials: Acid, Esther, Nitro compound. Inflammable materials: Salt peroxides, inorganic peroxide, salt acids.

With stirrer explosive and flammable chemicals (alcohol, benzene, etc), use with sufficient safety countermeasures. The flammable organicsolvents, dust, and corrosive gas may explode during stirrer sample. In accordance with an experiment, equipment of explosion-proof and airexhauster should be used in your laboratory. Also suitable stirrer RPM defenseshould be used on your sample.

Check equipment for permissible environmental conditions when usedinside a Temp & Humidity Chamber or Incubator. Fire or trouble could becaused by stirrer electricity, electronic, and damage of motor.Stirrer Permissible environmental conditionTemperature 5°C to 40°C Maximum relative humidity 80%.

Unplug, when there is strange sound, smell and smoke from theproduct. Stop operating and request the service.

Keep out of the direct sunlight. It may influence product life and properoperation.

Do not use the machine at places where moisture is high and floodingcan be happened.

Do not assemble, repair, modify on your own. Product may not work welland electric shock is possible. This will void the warranty.

Section 2 Functional Description

Magnetic Stirrer RT Touch-17 and Magnetic Stirrer RT Touch-22 areeconomically compact and lightweight magnetic stirrers under any kind ofexperimental lab environment. These magnetic stirrers have an operatingrange of 30rpm ~ 2,000rpm. By exact speed and powerful performance, they provide stirring of high viscosity solutions.

This magnetic stirrer is designed for user safety in a laboratory. A list of theconvenience features follow.

(1) Non- slip plate covers helps prevent glass flasks, beakers, etc. fromsliding easily.

(2) Each RPM adjusts real-time stirring with a quick action.

(3) Non- spark BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor stirring offerssafety and high quality durability in laboratory.

(4) Basic white and black plate cover allow monitoring of various colorsamples.

(5) The controller display adopts VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display). Iteasily indicates stirrer set up and operating conditions.

(6) The timer mode function can reserve stirrer stop time.

(7) Two different speeds and the number of repetitions can be set to forthe stir operation (program function). The stirrer can also be set forvarious users during experimental conditions. Program mode assists toeasily sample solvent with changeable viscosity, dependent on thestirrer (RPM).

(8) The stirrers offer stabilized rotations rate environment even fewer than50 rpm by BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor with joinedmagnetic bar. The product can be used in microbe cultivation. It canprovide the optimized environmental conditions with minimal physicaldamage.

Arrangement of Unit

The unit should be installed in a suitable environment as described below.

• Avoid direct sunlight.

• Room temperature should be 5°C ~ 40°C

• Relative Humidity (RH%) should be less than 80%.

• Altitude should be less than 2,000m.

Place the unit far from other instruments and and keep a proper distancebetween it and other apparatuses (normally more than 30cm).

• Do not place the unit near other laboratory equipment which can be readilyinfluenced, even by weak motor vibration, or by magnetic force because theunit creates a magnetic field.

• The unit can cause a magnetic field. Do not place especially the electricdevices on top plate due to inducing the strong magnetic field.

• Do not use the plastic beaker when operating the unit in explosiveatmospheres.

• The plastic beaker can cause the magnetic field, resulting in igniting toexplosive substances.

• Place the unit on the table. Check to make sure the non-slip feet aresecured tightly to the unit.

• Ensure that the unit will be parallel to the table.

Section 6Troubleshooting

Symptoms During Operation Cause Trouble shooting

Magnetic bar is out of position

Too much solution (solvent) in flask. Reduce volume of solution (solvent)or increase RPM slowly.

High density of solution (solvent) in flask. Raise the rotation speed slowly untila proper speed is found.

Magnetic force of bar becoming weak. Replace magnetic bar.

Some kind of bumping soundfrom inside.

Trouble has occurred with the magnetic barinside machine Request service.

Dial knob doesn’t operate wellor doesn’t work out.

Restart error of electroststic capacity sen-sor.

Turn off switch and disconnectpower. Reconnect and restart unit.

In cases where the rotationspeed will not be controllednormally.

Using a program function

Check the functional set and anormal operation presence. Set thecontroller function according to useobjective.

BLDC motors and circuit troubles. Request service.

In case where magnet agitationstirring bar does not rotate

The low-speed rotation speed set whichdoes not hold in control scope

Use small size of stirring bar or raiserotation speed a little bit and fineproper rotation speed.
