OPERATION LOCKDOWN

As Abbadon’s 13th Black Crusade begins and the Cadian Gate comes under devastating assault, countless cults have risen up across the Imperium and declared for the Warmaster. These cults, though small in number, have begun to cause damage far beyond their size as vital resources the Imperium needs to defend itself are damaged or delayed. Some of these cults are dupes, lured to the path of chaos, whilst others are simply xenos, bought with promises of future power or powerful armaments. Worse again are the few that are simply caught up in a war beyond their comprehension, or those manipulated by the Great Powers to fight on their behalf, despite claiming no allegiance to Chaos.

In response, the Inquisition have sponsored a number of small, well equipped Kill Teams to wage a war in the shadows against the Despoiler’s heretical followers. Engaging in galaxy-wide espionage, assassinations and sabotage, these battles will decide the fate of millions across the galaxy as the Inquisition desperately try and stymie the increasingly unmanageable effects of the Black Crusade.

Assemble your Kill Team, pick a side and fight to the death – the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance.

Event Essentials:System: Warhammer 40,000. You will need a copy of the Kill Team rules to take part in this event.Army Size: 200 Points.Army Selection: All Kill Teams are assembled using the rules presented in the Kill Team expansion on page 6.Number of Games: 3Please Note: Kill Team: Operation Lockdown is two single day gaming events being held on the 5th and 6th of November over the Warhammer 40,000 open days.

You will also need a ticket to the corresponding Warhammer 40,000 Open Day to attend Kill Team: Operation Lockdown.

Schedule:Registration will begin from 11.30 and will run until 12.30.12.30pm-1.00pm – Game 11.00pm-1.30pm – Break1.30pm-2.00pm – Game 22.00pm-2.30pm – Break2.30pm-3.00pm – Game 3Award Ceremony will be at 3:45, along with Golden Demon and Raffle prizes.

EVENT DETAILS:Choosing your Kill TeamWe will follow all the normal rules for choosing a Kill Team laid down on page 6 of the Kill Team rulebook.

In addition:• When you choose your Leader, you must choose a

Leader Trait for them before the event, and keep that trait for all three games. Make a note of this on your Kill Team army roster.

• When you choose your three Specialists, follow their rules as normal, but you must keep the same ones for all three games. Make a note of this on your Kill Team army roster.

THE GAMES:We will follow all the normal rules for Kill Team games laid down on pages 12-13 of the Kill Team rulebook.

Each game will last 30 minutes on the day, and we will randomly choose missions from the Kill Team missions selector on page 13 of the Kill Team rules before each game.

It’s a good idea to make sure you are familiar with the missions being played on the day – it will a lot to get your games finished on time.

AWARDS:Lord of Shadows - This award goes to the player who wins all three games over the day. In the case of a tie, we will use Favourite Game Votes as a tiebreaker. In the case of a further tie, we will use the total number of Victory Points scored by that Kill Team over the day. If there is still a tie after that, we will give out multiple awards to the first place finishers.

Most Sporting Opponent - This award goes to the player who scores the most Favourite Game Votes from the day. In the case of a tie, we will use Victory Points scored as a tie breaker.

Best Kill Team – The Events Staff will select a Kill Team to be awarded the Best Kill Team award. This will be a combination of great painting, converting and basing!
