Network of Champions

• The OI Network of Champions (NOC) was established in May 2009 as a forum to:

– Build community partnerships– Provide wider network for employment opportunities for wounded

warriors– Share information on various outreach activities– Leverage best practices

• In the instance when Northrop Grumman is unable to identify a career opportunity, with the candidate’s permission his/her resume will be shared with the NOC

– Candidate list distributed to NOC members monthly– All candidates referred meet the eligibility criteria

for OI support– Only resume and information regarding their skills

and abilities are shared; no information on their disability is provided

13

Network of Champions Expectations

• There’s no membership fee or cost to join the OI NOC!

• Members are expected to:– Treat the candidate listing we provide as a “priority placement”

list and seriously consider the candidates for opportunities in your company

– Proactively contact candidates for positions in your organization

– Think outside the box for opportunities for placement

– Let us know if you make a placement from one of our referrals; we’d like to share in the celebration!

– Attend regularly scheduled meetings (typically quarterly with an annual symposium held in March)
