    OVER VIEW OF THE FACILITY:

The system is integrated with existing Import Conveyor system atTT-8.

The system is going to integrate with Ground hopper system atOSY-2 by newly installation of F1 Conveyor from OSY-2 to TT-8A.(Phase-2).

The existing system of 2I belt conveyor has been modified for theinstallation of V-plough feeder which feeds the material to newlyconstructed F2 conveyor as well as 8I Conveyor. The V-plough isworking on 0% and 100% basis in Auto mode. i.e. either 100%material diverts to F2 conveyor and 0% material on 8I conveyor or0 % to F2 and 100% to 8I conveyor. This V-plough can be manuallyadjusted to any range 0-100% for feeding to F2 conveyor. Howeverperformance need to be evaluated.

The F2 conveyor is equipped with Belt weigher which can giveindications of flow rate on F2 conveyor.

    F-2 conveyor:

F-2 conveyor has belt weigher giving indication of flowrate. The Indicator mounted at 2I head drive floor formanually adjustment of V-plough. The flow rate can alsobe seen at Central control room.

F-2 conveyor discharge end has diverter gate whichtransfer the material on the F3 and F4 conveyor. TheDiverter gate is motorized and has manual operationfacility also.

The F2 conveyor has provision of magnet installation ifrequired in future.

The F-2 conveyor is designed for 1500 tph.

    F-4 Conveyor:

F-4 conveyor receives the material from F-2 conveyor and F1conveyor also.

F-4 conveyor has 22 V-plough. Each V-plough is feeding thematerial to Surge bunker hopper via 2 chutes.

Each bunker hopper has 2 nos. live load cells and 2 nos. dummy

cells for indicating hopper conditions.( full or empty) Each Surge bunker hopper has one bagging system of M/S. Cronos

Richards Industries. Each bagging system has stitching m/c of Gabber. Each bagging system has bag sliding chute. (revolving type for

    adjustment)

Each bagging unit has received air from centralized air compressorunit for air control system. F-4 conveyor drive is equipped with Scoop coupling to avoid

frequent starting stopping of HT motor.

    Operation Of V Plough.

The V-plough has three main parts; viz: Handspike (Electromechanical Actuator), Link mechanism to make belt Flat and Vshaped 2 layer plough.

When giving a command, the actuator will operate according tothe direction of rotation of the motor. The plough shall placed onthe belt when piston rod is coming out. The link mechanism is

attached with the movement of actuator and due to thismovement of link the belt profile changing from toughing toflat. ( V-plough has Idlers hinge type)

The bagging system is feeding through V-plough system. Thesequence of operation is such that the last V-plough i.e. say 22

nd no shall start filling bunker hopper and thereafter 21 and soon. The system reads the hopper condition and accordingly givescommand to V-plough. The operation is sequential and oncemissed it will come only under next sequence.

    Compressor for Bagging system

All bagging machines are using air control system. In place ofindividual air compressor, a centralized compressor systemincorporated.

The compressor room has pre-filtered air suction system. Thecompressor room has double door system and hot air exhaust

ducting. The room is also equipped with exhaust fans (domestictype).

IR screw type compressor unit with refrigerant type air dryer. Thecompressor is oil cooled type.

The compressor is delivered the air to the receiver tank via dryer.

The dryer is also connected with filters. The environment is very dusty and Pre-filter needs to frequent

replacement/ maintenance. Provision is kept as 4 nos of Filter mediaas spare for maintenance.

    Scoop coupling

Delta SC are totally enclosed and self supported compact scoop control fluid couplingswithout any weight reaction on driving or driven machine. The oil sump is built withthe stationary housing and oil is introduced into the working circuit through aseparate oil pump. The oil circulates through the working circuit and finally passes to

the outer casing and is collected by the sliding scoop tube. The oil in the working circuit is governed by the position of scoop tube. The positionof scoop tube can be governed through suitable electric actuator or manually by handlever. On the input and output ends, suitable flexible couplings are provided for theshaft connections. A suitable oil cooler is provided in the circuit to cool the circulatingoil.

    Operation

The sliding scoop tube governs the oil level in the

working circuit depending on its (scoop tube) positionbetween 0 to 100%. By varying the oil level in theworking circuit, the torque transmission capacity of thecoupling varies, thus changing the slip in the coupling

and provides step less speed variation. Delta SCcouplings provide step less speed regulation in the rangeof 4:1 as standard for centrifugal loads like fans andpumps. They also provide continuous declutching duty

    for select drives.
