1 Configuringthebuildingservicesmanagementsystem(GLT)
BACnet is availablewith software versionV1.60andhigher, ModBus with V1.74/V2.74/V3.76/V4.76 andhigher.
ThefollowingdisplaycanbeseenundertheService->Information->BACnetmenuitemofanunconfiguredsystem:
Thedisplaymeansthatalphaconnectisnotconfiguredandnotactivated.
If the point BACnet is missing under "Service" ->"Information", thesoftwareversionof thecontroller isolderthanV1.60.
NOTE.As soon as ModBus is available, the menuitem is no longer called BACnet but GLT(buildingservicesmanagementsystem).
1.1 Requirements:Fortheconfigurationthecomputermustbeconnectedtoafunctioningnetworkordirectlytotheheatpumptobeconfigured.
The computer must have an IP address, which it iseitherassignedbythecontrollerwithactivatedDHCPserver (->VariantA),byanotherDHCPserver in the
network (->VariantB),orwhich isassignedmanually(->VariantC).
VariantA: HeatpumpcontrollerasDHCPserverTheDHCPserver isactivatedat thecontrollerunderService->SystemControl->WebServer.
ThePCmustthenbeconfiguredastheDHCPclient.
VariantB: HeatpumpcontrollerasDHCPclientThe DHCP client is activated at the controller underService->SystemControl->WebServer.
The PCmust then also be configured as theDHCPclient. The PC and heat pump controller are thenassignedtheIPaddressesbyanexistingDHCPserverinthenetwork(e.g.arouter).
VariantC:ManualconfigurationoftheIPsettingsThe IP settings are set up at the controller underService->SystemControl->IPaddress.
An IP address, different to that of the controller IP,mustthenbesetinthesamenetworkatthePC.

1.3 EnablingwithadongleUSBdonglewithalicenceisrequired.
If this is inserted into the heat pump controller a GLT_Iconappearsonthemainscreen.
If this is selected a confirmation prompt appears,whether theGLTshouldbeactivatedpermanentlyornot:

1.4 CompletionoftheconfigurationIf the configurationwas carried outwithVariantA orB (controller as DHCP client or DHCP server), theIP data should now be entered manually accordingto Variant C. You are usually given this data by thebuildingservicesmanagementsystemengineer.
THE CONFIGURATION IS COMPLETED

3 BACnet
3.1 TermThe abbreviation "BACnet" stands for "BuildingAutomation and Control network". BACnet isan independent data transmission protocol for"open communication in data networks of buildingautomationandbuildingcontrol"with theobjectiveof"interoperability", i.e. theabilityofdevices insystemsto work with those of other manufacturers, acrosssystems.BACnet is basedonstandardisedservices,objectsand functionsand is continuouslyadapted tonew requirements and added to in various interestgroupsworldwide.

TheMulti-State Inputobjectspecifiesanobjecttype,whose object properties represent externally visiblecharacteristicsofadatapointforseveralbinaryinputs,connected by an arbitrary binary logic within theBACnet device. The object is derived from physicalor virtual data points, e.g. the limit value messagesof several analog inputs or from a mathematicalcalculation. The "Present Value" is an integer whichrepresentsastate.

4.3 RegisterThe ModBus/TCP data is provided in the form ofregisters.Fourtypesaresupported:
1. Discrete inputs: Truth values (Boolean values),e.g.inputs.Readonly
2. Coils:Truthvalues(Booleanvalues),e.g.outputs.Writable.
3. Inputregisters: Integervaluesof thecontrol,e.g.temperatures.Readonly.
4. Holding registers: Integer values of the control,e.g.setpointvalues.Writable.
Here the following must be noted: If a value is nolonger to be predefined, a value outside the definedlimits must be transferred. For coils, this means thevalue"0";forholdingregistersitmeansavalueoutsidethelimitsfortherelevantdatapointintheappendix.
4.4 ConnectionModBus/TCP shares the IP address of the controlsystemandcanbereachedviatheTCPport502.
WerecommendthatyouusethefreewareqModMasterforthetest,availableathttp://sourceforge.net/projects/qmodmaster/.
Whenprogrammingnote that someModBusstationsor nodes begin with address "1" but send 0. Ourregistersare0-based.
4.5 DatapointsAll data points are availablewith each configuration;however, they do not always have valid values oreffects. In general the following applies: If the datapointisnotvisibleinthecontroller,thevaluesaretobedeemedinvalid.
