It is the orderly and systematic load, so that it can be accommodated in the best

conditions in the holds of the ship handling.

For stowage on board is correct, it is necessary to consider two important aspects:

    ABARROTARLA:

That is to protect the cargo from the ship's structure using wood, paper, plastic, etc.SEPARATE:

That is to accommodate according to brand, batch number, destination port, etc. for easy

BASIC RULES OF STOWAGE:To stowage properly is necessary to consider the following

    recommendations:

1.1. Sort the load, according to their nature, packaging type, size,

labels and signs, destination, etc. To facilitate the loading, unloading and delivery.

1.2. Securing cargo, according to the above characteristics and

stowage plan, as shown in the first pilot of the ship, this will allow

the safety of ship and cargo.1.3. Secure cargo in place that it has been designed to prevent

    slipping during oscillations cruise ship.

1.4. Make maximum use of the vessel clearances

To analyze the operation of portage in the event of unloading and

loading, will be divided into 4 stages:Where appropriate to download are:

    1. Taking the load on the pier to "walk" the hook

    2. Transfer of the load from the pier to the storage area.

    3. Download the load on the storage area or truck that takes direct

    4. Return the equipment to the dock under the hook.

The key to the operation of portage is adapted to pace or rhythm

of the board Handling and Transfer. Therefore, the secret to

efficient operation is in selecting the correct number and type of

GENERAL PRINCIPLES TO PLANIFY THE PORTAGE

Separate export and import cargoes, whenever possible.

Designate storage areas close to the operation, to reduce

    distances portage.

Establish separate input and output to reduce interference routes

equipment, and ensure that there are no dangerous obstacles. If

possible, a system of satellite alone, without junctions, would be

ideal.Check and remove obstacles to allow teams to circulate in

    conditions of greater security.
